The best facility on the UGA campus. Incredibly kind staff members who are always willing to help, even if you feel stupid asking for help. I feel safer here than I do in my classes because they actually enforce COVID protocols.

Equipement is top notch and the employees are always happy to assist. I come here for weight training and the occasional run on the 3rd floor track. Always a good time.
Great facilities and lots of options for classes, especially if you're a student. It's clean and well-kept. It's pretty crowded in the evening though, so consider going on a lunch break or in between classes if you want to avoid the crowds. A note if you use the pools, make sure you check the schedule online to see which pools are open and at what time since it's sort of erratic depending on what's going on.
This place has a big professional pool, some gyms, a track for running. It is equipped with modern machines. There are some courts for basketball, volleyball
Top notch facility. Clean, with endless options for working out, including a pool. I have had negative experiences with the staff who has been unnecessarily rude on a few occasions though; that is the only reason it does not receive 5 stars.
Every machine that you could ever want. They have multiple locker rooms and a swimming pool. This place had multiple floors and it requires biometrics (eye scans) to enter so you can leave your uga card at home (or in the car) parking is free after a certain time and they have princess parking for motor cycles and scooters super close to the entrance. It was hard to notice the actual building when driving by- but trust your instincts, park in the lot you think is right, and you ll find it. I especially like that Ramsey has rock climbing options in the form of indoor sport climbing and outdoor bouldering. The center also offers classes in yoga, strength, etc. and you can buy a literal class pass to access. All the yoga you want in a certain length of time. I personally do not work out in the gym - too many people and too many grunting body builders but the class workouts, swimming pool, and rock climbing wall are good enough for me!
Great workout spot if your a student or spouse of a student. It can get crowded but what gym doesn't? Pool is wonderful. Staff is great. Just be careful as they aren't open on gamedays.
Ramsey hosted numerous events from the 1996 Olympics. Great work-out facilities, indoor track, multiple pools, etc. I wish they would prorate family memberships and class passes, as well as offer more and in - depth clinics in various sports/camping/outdoor activities.
I love to work out here! It has a massive climbing wall, an indoor track, and two separate weight rooms. It's the best workout that students' money can buy!
Had everything you want from swimming to rock climbing. The only problem is that they don't offer every sport set up all the time. For instance, badminton is only available at some times not all the time.
University of Georgia students and student athletes enjoy a state of the art mixed use athletic facility featuring Olympic size swimming and diving pools, volleyball stadium and extensive training rooms. If a major part of your college criteria includes sports and sports training, check out Ramsey!
Great place for the campus community to live a healthy lifestyle. Climbing walls, challenge courses, and an outdoor recreation rental store offer great alternative choices. Hundreds of group fitness classes and other features make this facility incredible!
This student recreation center for the University of Georgia is top notch. Two full sized gyms, an Olympic sized pool, 7 basketball courts, a rock wall, and multiple studio workout rooms that can be reserved and sometimes host special group workout classes. Does get a little crowded in the afternoons but the place is so big it usually isn't too hard finding something to do.
As an UGA employee and student I have loved Ramsey center. I have not take classes on site because I never wanted to pay twice to use a facility, but the equipment is top notch.
Top notch customer service. Extremely cheap, great value, and effective personal training. Can be crowded at usual gym crowded hours. Great variety of classes. Management really cares about the patrons experience at the Ramsey center instead of money like private gyms seem to sometimes dwell on. Go Dawgs!
There are a ton of things to do at Ramsey. The place is huge and I haven't had one bad experience with the staff. Lockers are widely available and keeps your stuff safe. There are also many classes you can attend at very fair prices.
The facility is great. Lots to do, and it's huge! My only complaints are that every time I go (6-11pm), it is WAY too crowded! I can't get a good workout because I always have to wait on the squat rack, bench press, a machine... Which brings me to my next point. I don't like how Most of the machines are in a separate room. This prevents me from supersetting and getting a good workout. Also, the machines are WAY too close together! Sometimes I have to wait until the person beside me is done working because the machines will clash against each other.
If they made this a bigger gym or allowed parking earlier than 6pm, I think the main issue (waiting for forever) could be resolved.
Some nice facilities, equipment, good staff, and a lot of class and activity options. My review is pertaining to the area of the rec center that I use the most: the weightroom. Most of the equipment is nice, but the facility is far too small with not enough equipment. Most times of day that you go you will have to wait in line to use a piece of equipment. It's surprising that the square footage dedicated to racketball courts is so much greater than that dedicated to weightroom space.
Used for almost 10 years while at UGA. First class facility with excellent equipment and physical activity options. Miss being able to have so many things at my disposal as a student!
