Radisson SAS Daugava Hotel Reviews

There is no doubt this hotel has seen better years. Having said that, we enjoyed our stay at Radisson Daugava. Business class room was spacious and enough facilities. A small balcony was included, however without any chairs or table. Breakfast was satisfactory however it could have offered a wider selection. Staff at hotel was plenty, however very few with good english and even fewer with a smile on their faces. Location of hotel is on the "wrong" side of the river with Old Town and City Centre left at a distance over the main bridges. Taxis waiting around the clock outside the hotel will take you anywere for a reasonable price. There is nothing to do or see in the vicinity of the hotel, however a huge galleria, Riga Plaza, only about 5 minutes drive and of course Old Town and Heart of Riga over the bridge, at about 5-7 minutes drive. Those who come by car the hotel offer non-security parking outdoors for 5 lats per 24h. There is a 2 lane swimming pool and fitness centre that are open till 23h. Hair and nails saloon as well as massage services are offered in the building.

The price / quality ratio is poor. Night expensive, but the room is tired and depreciated. The water in the sink did not go down, the walls watered through. Do not recommend.

The decor of the room feels old and the color of the wallpaper is not very spiritual.

Please somebody change that 20 year old carpet in the Bar!!! So OLD and DIRTY. Looks very run down from the outside too. Staff amazing!!!

Not your typical Radisson Blu, needs to have a face lift. Was difficult to get service at bar as well. Room was very old and tired too.

Clean, by the water, rich breakfast and good dinner. That could be a bit warmer.

It's July, the heater is pre-fixed to warm up the bathroom, so the whole tiny, old-furnished room gets really hot and even the super old and loud air condition couldn't help it. I wouldn't pay more than 20 euros for that place.

Very well situated hotel close to Old Town. You just need to gross the bridge. Good breakfast. Fifth star comes, when there is possibility to throw water to stones in otherwise good and hot sauna.

The worst is access to the old city. Passing the bridge can be complex and dangerous at night

View is great but the room is not that nice. Our room was in the old wing, pretty small and not very clean.

First impression. Just arrived and discovered huge queue and only 3 receptionists working. Asked if I can fill in any papers while waiting, the answer was No. At least free water were offered to people in line.

Good hotel next to the Daugava river. Breakfast was good and plentiful. Our room was very big and service was very good. The only bad thing was that our rooms lock was broken and we had to call a fixer two times. Overall this hotel is good and I would recommend it!

A great hotel with a magnificent view of the Old Town. Cozy rooms, friendly and invisible staff, deliciously prepared in the restaurant.

Acceptable accommodation overlooking the river Daugava and old city from the end of the Soviet Union (modernized - monitor removed!); Unfortunately, the rooms are completely worn and in need of renovation. Friendly staff, excellent varied breakfast buffet. Location: 10min. within walking distance of the city center, a station by bus or tram (via the long Old Town Bridge).

Location is brilliant, with a nice view on the old City. Breakfast is enjoyable, they also had some local food that was fun. Rooms are old but clean and quiet big. Bed is very comfortable

Been visiting Rix twice now and recommend staying away from the hotels in the city center. Id rather walk for 10 min and have a good nights sleep.

While not the most modern rooms, the service and restaurant quality more than make up for it.

Nice hotel, nice bed. A little older than the other Radisson Blu in Riga, this hotel is still nice and was very affordable. It is across the bridge. I would stay here again.

The room was very tiny but the room was reasonably clean and had all the needed amenities. The staff were extremely helpful. The restaurant service was subject to prejudicial treatment and felt uncomfortable and left out of good service. I was disappointed with the prejudice here in this international chain hotel. I wouldn't stay here again. I wrote to the management, I never received a response or an acknowledgement.

1- junior standard room is very good with beautiful view + nice bed + coffee machine and good office space for working.

2- There are no spa there and that's not food just swimming pool which is not big and normal gym which belong to myfitness but you can use.

3- breakfast is not many options (Covid-19 is affected it as I understand as not many people at all in hotel so cooking many types of food is not an option at all) however,the food quality is very good and tasty and stuff are professional.

Overall, nice place to stay but spa area is not good at all.

New Year celebrated a lot of fun. The most important thing is that you can see the city salute for the consideration of an outstretched hand.

Hotel in a good location. Good breakfasts (Swedish table). cleaned properly. But ... in a double room there is 1 set of soap and rylnye priblud (shampoo. Soap. Etc.). trite there is no drinking water in the room. Wood lice are running on the floor in the bath or whatever it is (some living creatures are shorter). The rooms for the price could be slippers. In general, for the money there are hotels and better. MUCH BETTER
Yes..wifi is just awful. Not connected. Breakdowns. Used an Internet via cellular.

We stayed in a junior suite which was great value for the money. Very nice view from the 9th floor towards the river. Free access to pool and sauna was a big plus.

I stayed there two times last week. Both times the stay was great. Both rooms had a great view overlooking the river, was clean and the temperature was good. You can see that the building itself is quite old but it doesn't really show in the decoration. It has a free shuttle service to bring you to the other side of the bridge the city center (you could walk the distance). But taxi service in Riga isn't that expensive and I like to be more flexible. All staff encountered in the hotel during my stay were friendly and helpful. To bad you have to pay for parking though like almost everywhere in the center as far as I could see.

Awesome hotel, as long as your budget permits, you should absolutely stay here.

No spa, just cold pool, though the restaurant was good
