This hotel is just a dream. From the first second we felt like home here.
We loved to attend the yoga classes, spend time on the beach and we also loved all the meditation spots <3
The food was just delicious and we really enjoyed the healthy meals, that were perfect for a yogic diet. Also the green juices and smoothies made us happy every day :)
The staff was amazingly friendly and helped us out with every question! We want to thank them for every smile that made our day more beautiful :)
We could not imagine a better place to stay in Tulum beach and would definitely come back here!!

This review is solely for the restaurant and beach club experience.

We happened upon this beach due to the recommendation of a local & it was the best decision we made while in Tulum! The beach front is beautiful, like a slice of undisturbed paradise. There were hardly any guests utilizing the beach on either day which allowed for a peaceful and safe experience. The restaurant staff was cordial and prompt.

We ordered fresh coconuts, the guacamole, mango salad, and a chicken burrito. Everything was delicious! While the food was certainly expensive for Mexico, it was significantly cheaper than most beach clubs in the area.

Our experience was so wonderful that we came back two days in a row.

Serene, beautiful, azure blue seas are the great backdrop for excellent customer service. This is NOT a party place. It IS a CALMING PLACE.

If you want to relax and unwind at the beach, this is the perfect place.

I slightly recommend Maya Tulum (because of the caring staff). New MGMTand new Chef for the main restaurant.... My trip was ruined by guests staying next to us (they rented out more suites than us, and made us move after called homophobic slurs .). The staff was amazing, Tulum is no longer Tulum .. b

The space is beautiful, the water divine, the staff friendly. They work hard to keep this place serene, clean, and hospitable. The yoga was perfect. The body treatments are a must. The food was vibrant and nutritious.

Absolutely amazing experience. This hotel is right in the middle of the hotel zone in Tulum yet it is so quiet there. The cabanas are beautiful, it s 10 seconds walk right to their private beach. Food was delicious and the staff was super friendly and helpful. We will be back!

Beautiful grounds, enjoyed the yoga, but we had a strong and fairly consistent sewer smell. Also, the beaches were listed with seaweed which of course they couldn't control even though they tried to have people remove.

I have stayed at Maya Tulum 4 times in the past 4 years, a week for each stay. I attend specific teacher retreats. Each year the seaweed or "red tide" has gotten worse. Last year from our ocean front cabana there was a continuous stream of a bulldozer moving the raked up rotting piles and depositing them off the beach just beyond the resort. We were not able to enjoy our cabana during the day and needed to escape the steady flow of diesel fumes, we dealt with it. In 2016 we returned to the same cabana #1. The tide was back and it was BIG. This time he staff was slow to deal with it. When they did, they created rows of large raked piles of dead seaweed and left them to rot. Another 24 hours later they combined the large rotting piles and made one enormous mountain of putrefying fetid death right in front of the ocean front cabanas and the large yoga room. The stench was unbearable...you really cannot imagine how uncomfortable and horrible it was. At night buckets of copal incense were burned...combining the strong smoke fumes with the putrefied seaweed stench. We are still traumatized. I walked into a yoga class last week where copal was burning and it make me so sick that I had to leave. We understand that the seaweed is an uncontrollable occurrence of nature, but Maya Tulum Resort does have control over how they deal with it and how they treat their guests. I thought hard before committing to writing this review. It is a beautiful place and the staff and spa workers are mostly the same wonderful people that I look forward to seeing each year, it is not their fault. Something very unhealthy and disturbing has happened to the management. The new "handsome" male manager was clearly more interested in flirting with the guests than guest services and care. Any hotel or resort in the world would have done or offered some type of apology and or compensation. The management was unable to effectively deal with the common red tide occurrence and made staying there a nightmare. This does not demonstrates how to be of service and how to honor the Mayan culture and Mayan healing that is offered . This was far from a healing experience.

Attentive and friendly staff, great sand, private beach, nice buffet.
Only problem was a very loud party from a place nearby that went on from 10 pm Saturday night until 5 am Sunday morning, ruined the whole night. Nothing the Maya Tulum guys can control but still very disappointing...
All the Maya Tulum manager could do was discount 50% on the night expenses. I hope their noisy neighbors go out of business soon because the place is otherwise commendable.
