If you visit R-Haan in Watthana expecting avant-garde deconstructions just because of the Michelin star, you might be surprised. The evening tasting menu proved to be far more grounded yet refined. It struck a perfect balance between elevated technique and humble, authentic flavors. Starting with a sampler of regional delicacies and moving through the soups and mains, every dish felt deeply rooted in Thailand. The curries, sauces, and textures were instantly recognizable yet refined. This is easily the best meal I’ve had in Thailand so far. A must-visit that I’ll definitely return to.

It is easy to see why this Thai restaurant has earned its two Michelin stars. The service was impeccable, with staff who were incredibly attentive and warm without being intrusive. Every dish was a masterpiece, and the wine pairings elevated the dining experience to pure perfection. If you are looking for a memorable culinary beginning to your stay in Watthana, this is the place. An absolute highlight of my visit.
