R.H. Thaxters LTD Review

A bit dated but it's okay because we were the only customers under 100 in the restaurant. Food was pretty awful. So much mayonnaise in my baguette I couldn't actually tell what I was eating. I saw another couple have baked potato but it was covered in mayonnaise as well. I think it was supposed to be prawns but it was so thick with mayonnaise it was hard to tell. On the plus side, the staff were excellent and very friendly.

Lovely variety of plants, pots and nik-naks. Prices pretty good.

Nice place to shop lots of things to look at some on the pricey side , the staff not very helpful and very grumpy no Christmas spirit

Amazing christmas display and all round garden centre, the range of garden products is great and there are plenty of great gift items to suit everyone and all occasions. The staff are friendly and helpful. Well worth a visit if you are in the area.

One thing i would mention is that the car park has a one way entrance and exit but the entrace is not very clear as the main sign for the garden centre is near the exit to the carpark... the entrance area is nearer to the side of the spar shop next door. I only mention this as i noticed a couple of cars pulling in the exit area and coming face on to cars exiting the carpark as the signs are not very clear.

Must go place for coffee. We go every time we visit Norfolk.

Staff always pleasant and helpful all covid rules being strictly adhered to.As usual plants good quality. No coffee shop at present.

A very pleasant couple of hours spent here today. Whilst the prices on some things seemed a bit high there were numerous deals and bargains. The plants had to many deals to mention. It was the ornaments that were a bit to high for us but they were in keeping with other similar places. All in all a great experience and we will be going back.

Garden centre lovely, decently priced plants, set up well for covid.

Stopped for coffee and cake next door. Got told we didn't need masks on to queue up (but we felt more confident wearing them) lady spoke condescendingly to my husband. The Victoria cake was stale. But the coffee, flapjack and shortcake were nice.

Every thing is very good value and the staff are very helpful

We generally come here at Christmas as they transform part of the centre into a lovely Christmas ship with all sorts of decorations

Very disappointed, went to Thaxters yesterday to buy some plants to refresh my hanging baskets but nothing suitable, just bought some compost, also had coffee and cake in the tea room, another disappointment as coffee to strong and cake very dry, won't be going again, sorry.

It's a nice place to visit, but I did find their plants rather expensive compared to some other places nearby.

Nice, small garden centre. Rather overpriced, as are most. Nice coffee shop next door though!

Good place to eat. Good sandwiches made in the place. Cooked food also made in situ. This is my 3rd visit.

Good garden centre plenty of choice, a lot of plants,trees, shrubs, bulbs and indoor plants. It has a huge selection of garden ornaments of every kind and is ideal for getting a gift for someone who likes being in their garden.

My daughter and I love coming to Thaxters for tea, milkshake, and some cake. Always lovely polite & helpful staff

Went to the tea rooms next door to this place sat outside in the garden with my two dogs food lovely atmosphere nice highly recommend

this is a nice little garden centre, not the cheapest but knowledgeable friendly staff.

Thaxters is not the largest garden centre you can find, but they make the most of their space with a large selection of interesting & useful stuff, at good prices. There are friendly, helpful staff, plus a nice Cafe, and a well stocked mini market that also does hot take away food.

A very nice family Garden Center. Ample free parking. Coffee shop and two toilet options. A great range at Christmas and lovely well grown plants

Great garden centre! There aren t many like this in the area. Good variety of small and big plants as well as accessories and tools. They have many ornaments to complete your indoors and outdoors decorations, especially in Christmas time. There is also a cafe just outside and a Spar mini market as well.

Got everything we needed and came out with more! They have a good social distance procedure in place too

Went to the cafe and the food was good..some of tbe staff were bit miserable and could have been friendlier but it won't stop me going again!

Great garden centre with aquatics fantastic place to eat with hot meals to cream teas. Which is currently closed to covid rules even our beautiful Kate prince William s wife recommends this one !

Lots of lovely healthy plants to choose from, and anything else you need for the garden. Biggest bonus is the staff, who are always so helpful.

Come here often for afternoon tea and a slice of cake. Love the garden centre too.
