Whoever answers the phones in the front desk needs to get FIRED. She is extremely rude and answers the phone like she clearly hates her job. Im sure there are some really crazy patients calling all day long but if a new patient is calling in to schedule an appointment AT LEAST you can try to sound like they are welcomed to come in. She was so rude I immediately hung up the phone on her when I felt her attitude was at a 1,000!! Get rid of her.

I've called them 3 times to explain to them they keep calling me by mistake for someone else. This is so frustrating. I've spoken to 3 different people on more than 1 occasion and yet I just received another call for someone else to confirm their appointment. Not only that I've had the same number for years so obviously they wrote the number incorrectly for this person.

I ve been using this place for years. It s getting worst every year. But what chocked me this time that the technician spent with me. My mammogram & sonogram were done so fast that I think of doing them again in another facility. I have a More

Did not perform my test after an hour waiting time. No instructions were given by front desk what to do before the test. Doctor has asked if girls on front desk instructed antything on the phone and then refused to perform the test. Wasted time and poor customer service

Have had several ultrasounds here as well as X-rays and was always seen on time and treated with respect. I highly recommend this place - and since it takes my insurance is very reasonably priced!

My complaint is for the front desk staff. I arrived for my 5pm appointment at 4:35 and unfortunately realized I forgot my script at home and the receptionists suggestion was to take the same $15 Uber it took to get to the office back home and come back when I have a script. I diligently worked to get a script faxed by 5:05 for this same woman to say she didn t see it in the fax to wait it out. Returned to her at 5:20 only for her to say she received it but it took too long to receive so she gave my appointment away and stated I wouldn t be able to be seen until 7pm. After arriving at 4:35 she suggested I sit down until 7pm and stated nothing can be done. It is disheartening to know medical professionals that have a moral and ethical obligation to help the sick can turn away an individual who was hunched over and expressing she was in pain and begging for someone to help her sooner then later after being given the run around for over an hour. The front desk staff was not only not accommodating but they were unfriendly, cold and unprofessional.

I needed an ultrasound STAT and ran over and these people are so kind, compassionate and helpful I will be grateful forever. They have always been excellent and this time they went above and beyond. Thank you to the radiologist Maria, the lady at the desk who helped me get my cab home, and everyone for their help

Possibly the worst experience having gone to this practice over the years it has steadily gone down hill. now it is unbearable as there is zero customer service, incompetent staff, and uncaring physicians. Defiantly avoid at all costs.

I was in and out in 30 minutes. My nurse and doctor were SO nice and explained everything thoroughly. The receptionist was very kind and took down all my information very quickly. Thank you so much for your swift service and great social distancing measures during times of covid-19 as well. Just remember to wear a mask and bring your doctor s note.

Had a CT scan and have a tumor on adrenal gland but the radiologist screwed up my Hounsfield Units between what was noted in the notes and what is noted on the picture. So either I have cancer or I don't and can't get a response from the radiologist to clarify. And they aren't returning my Dr's emails or my calls. DO NOT GO HERE. You're actual life might depend on it. I should have gone to the City where they are professional and accurate. I have been waiting 4 days to find out if I have cancer. Try doing that.

I will never EVER return to this facility EVER aga...

I will never EVER return to this facility EVER again. I've been coming to the Queens Medical Imaging Center at Austin Street once a year for my annual mammogram and occasional sonogram. Scheduling an appointment was always sort of an issue, but I just gone with it. I thought since their ratings are high, it must be worth it. However, for the past couple of times I always had issues either with staff not being able to find my referral or with appointment still waiting 2 hours to get my mammogram done. This time, however, it just went way too far. I had a mammogram and sonogram done back in August and my doctor wanted me to have a second follow up in six weeks, because they discovered something and prior to moving forward with any procedure, he wanted to see whether there has been any change in condition of my cyst. I came for a follow up and the staff couldn't find a referral for my sonogram, so they were only able to conduct mammogram. I still waited two hours as one of their machines was down. While waiting inside for my mammogram, I heard one of the staff members saying to a lady that they have made a mistake in scheduling her appointment, but will try to find a solution. That has pushed my appointment even later and I ended up spending two hours just to be done with my mammogram. This made me late for my next appointment, where I had to apologize for someone else' mistake, even though I try to respect other people's schedule and be always on time. On my way home I received a call from Queens Medical Imaging that they actually find my referral for sonogram, so if I want to come back, they will proceed with my appointment. I was already upset and delayed for something else, so I decided to reschedule. They were able to accommodate me a week later, so I went with it. I called in two days prior to my appointment to confirm this time around they have my referral and we are good to go. I was told everything is in place and they are expecting me that day at 11am. I arrived for my appointment just to learn they have no appointment for me that day and it is actually scheduled for a month from that day. You can just imagine my frustration with this facility, even after the second time scheduling the same appointment for something that should have been done two weeks ago, I'm still dealing with not having an appointment. I'm a working mom with a very busy schedule, so I rely on these appointments to accommodate my already busy life and I would much rather spend my days off with my children than with a staff that is unable to follow through with my appointments. I cannot imagine a person who is seriously ill having to go through something like this due to the irresponsible and careless approach this facility provides their patients with. I work in services as well and my reputation goes a long way, because I try to provide my clients with services they expect and deserve. This is totally unacceptable and believe me or not, I will NEVER EVER conduct a business with a facility that has no respect to their patients' time or condition ever again! I would highly discourage anybody scheduling an appointment at the Queens Medical Imaging Center at Austin Street.

Worst radiology facility ever. I came here three times for one simple MRI and three times their schedule was overbooked and I had to reschedule after waiting for at least 40 minutes. In the end, gave up and went elsewhere.

Unfortunately we had to have imaging in this center due to the preference of the provider. Customer service needs to be improved and the way the staff speaks to patients needs significantly improvement. Especially the manner in which a patient's language preference is addressed. As a facility, it is their responsibility to provide language interpretation instead of having someone just sign and fill a legal document without really understanding what is written. In addition, the rude manner in which a person is spoken to is not necessary just because their primary language is not English. Such a disappointment that this exists in this day in age and that their behavior will continue unless people speak up. The institution who's name is in front of this establishment really needs to be informed and provide courses for their staff on how to provide customer service to the patient they serve and thanks to them that their establishment is still prosperous.

Not only I was to wait 1 hour after I arrived with a previous appointment but also the result where send it to the doctor 15 days after. The only good thing was the charisma of the staff that performed the ultrasound.

I've been coming here for years and all the staff are always a pleasure to work with. At my most recent visit on 12/7/2020 at 8:00am, Marlene and the 2 other individuals (sorry I didn't remember their names) who performed the mammogram and sonogram were absolutely professional, sweet and efficient. I was missing a prescription and they went out of their way to ensure I received it so I wouldn't be forced to return. Thank you for all you do!

This place is horrible. I had a 3pm appt. and was asked to come at 2:30pm. I waited until 3:40 before I asked why weren t we called. Receptionist says oh they changed your appt. .
No one cared to notify me. They re totally unprofessional. Never again will I come to this site.

My appointment was 5:30, the receptionist told me that they were 20-25 minutes behind. At 6:15 she yells to tell me from across the room to tell me their running another 25 minutes late on top of that. Because of a patient , not trying to be cruel I have nothing to do with the patient that's in there, if the patient can't go in the MRI then get them out make them sit for that 20 minutes or so and start calling the next patient. I will never come here nor recommend anyone to come.

How unprofessional is this staff! Had my mother waiting 3 hours before they saw her & the only reason why they saw her was because she became agitated & ask to speak with a manager. My mother became ill, nauseated, dizzy spells. How nasty is this staff. I always say if you don't like your quit then. One day YOU will be a senior & YOU will be treated just as bad. I also blame the doctors that send their patience there because by now they have gotten complaints about this place.

I usually never take the time for reviews, but I am highly upset and offended with the lack of professionalism at this center. The technician was not only rude to me but to my husband who stood by my side.I worked up the courage to finally have my first mammogram and was scheduled for today at 2pm.I will just say if you are anxious or scared please find another location. Her name was Olena Fedchenko.I walked out of the office and am now rescheduled at another center.

This is the second time that I scheduled an appointment only to find out when I arrived, that they have no appointment for me.The first time was for a Mammography and today for Carotid ultrasound. I was told "sorry for the mistake but you need to reschedule" I will never conduct business with this facility or recommend anyone. No respect for patient's time or condition.

Waiting time is long not comparable to the other NYU facilities. They have a lot of people floating around talking, taking their time and ignore that people are waiting. No communication. Went in at 7AM for two tests tests both 10 min each no preparation, i got out at 9:30. I have given this place many tries and is still the same. It is actually faster to take the train to the city.

My experience with the front end Staff was not good, when I made the Appt. I explained to the woman on the phone that I will be early for my appt. I walked up to the front desk and was greeted by a staff member who was busy on her way out of the office for the day and I was instructed to wait for one of the two ladies at the desk neither one made eye contact, I waited for about 5 mins, another person walked and the person to the right proceed to help her, I Interrupted and said I was here waiting for someone to help. I got a sigh and rolled eye from both person at the desk. I proceed to give the person a copy of my mammo CD and was told "you have to give it to the TECH performing the test". I waited for a 1/2 hour the TECH called me in the room and proceed to do the test ahead of the two person waiting. I handed the CD to her and I was instructed that the ladies at the front desk would take care of it. The TECH was very nice professional and apologized for the rude behavior of the front desk after realizing that I was an NYU-Langone Employee.

If I could give them zero stars, I would. Madleline Dunbar or Dumbar not sure, is the worst manager. She refused to speak with me after her authorization dept failed to contact me and let me know the MRI was approved. I was given the run around for over 8 hours with multiple calls. In addition, she instructed the receptionist to hang up on me. The receptionist, Allison, admitted that the authorization dept should have called me and would not squeeze me in for the next day. Needless to say, I am making a complaint with NYU.
