The beef sliders were nice , there spring rolls tasted absolutely disgusting , I had the duo beef an pork meal Ithink it s beef an that was yum although I had a stalk from a bol Choy at the bottom which I didn t eat , the prawn side dish was yummy an idont enjoy the two croquettes cause of the cheese, wait staff were lovely , there pool table is on a lean

From booking to seating and service it was first class. Good fabulous and very good value. Ice cream sundaes to die for.
2 burgers and chips for $16, made with wholemeal bun and good amount of filling. I had chicken, hubbie had beef. Came with fries, nicely cooked and tomato sauce.
Dessert - I had chocolate mud cake with chocolate mousse, vanilla ice cream, cream, chocolate sauce. Mud cake was not too rich, otherwise this would have been hard to eat, but managed to clean the plate.
Been here twice over the last few weeks, once for a business lunch meeting so needed space and not too much noise and this venue was perfect. Another time with friends for dinner so wanted somewhere warm, both meals were really nice, great specials, awesome prices and the service was amazing, which is always a bonus in Whangarei. I would recommend the pork and prawn rice noodle salad - delicious!!
Handled a dinner group of 32 with relative ease and a great sense of humour. Service was quick and food was superb. An enjoyable evening all round. Thoroughly recommended.
Quite a change from the seedy bar it used to be. Customer service was amazing and the Tuesday special of a main and a dessert for $30 is value for money.
Definitely recommended if you are looking for a good hearty meal in Whangarei.

1 out of 3 meals arrived the other two who knows we left after waiting for nearly an hour with no sign of the other 2 meals Other than that the meal that did arrive was good and staff pleasent and apologetic regarding the meals that didn't arrive.
Tidy resturant and bar. Doubt ill dine here. When I asked for a pint I was told there were no pints available in NZ. Factually incorrect. Got a Steiny in a steiny glass, this was their pint. Whangarei is another NZ city pushing the American pint scam.

Well the food was average poor customer service.and didn't even come and ask if we wanted pudding.and had to ask for cuttlery.
The customer service is amazing and the food is responsibly priced and is of great value for money. I recommend indulging in there stone grill meals as that's a great meal and a unique experience.
Had visitors from Tauranga abd we spent an absolutely great night at yr bar and grill. Our friends were very impressed. The Wait Staff, were excellent, friendly and professional.

Pleasantly surprised. Needed to fill in time and grab a bite so we stopped in. Sirloin, steamed veges & new potatoes in a light gravy with good service, good price & not too many people for a 3pm meal, made this an instant hit for us. Planning to be back... soon.
Had mussel and crab linguine. No crab mussels the size of a fingernail.Pasta lovely flavor husbands pork dish two small lumps of over cooked meat. Very disappointed after other reviews thought we would have a nice meal.Twenty nine dollars for a meal is not cheap and you expect decent food.Staff were great.Will not be back
Revamped and its amazing! I have been 3 times in the past few weeks. The food is amazing. My favorite is the scallop fettuccine and the calamari and prawn app. Servers very friendly as well.

This was a fabulous place. Although we were a large group being catered for a breakfast, privately, it was great.... right from the start to the finish... staff down to the food. Will return when next in Whangarei.

Entree was really nice but the mains didn't live up to much at all. I ordered the thai beef salad with a lemongrass and ginger dressing. It was however covered in a chilli sauce! I don't like chilli and would have never ordered if it had a mention of cholli in the menu. When i told the waitress all she said was 'oh must have been the dressing'

A nice set pub but quite pricey we probably had the worst loaded wedges of our holiday here but may be a one off the service was prompt and friendly and provides free WiFi mixture of indoor and outdoor seating.

We had my birthday there 2 weeks ago. We were so happy with the food and staff. They are by far the best place in town that understand having kids at a restaurant. Such a warm inviting atmosphere. Highly reccomend!!!

Rick and Marrisa, you created the most wonderful and delicious menus for my black tie event. Friends are still talking about it and then next morning, breakfast for 34 guests. As my friends said, the food and its wonderful presentation was straight out of a Savoy Hotel Dining /gourmet cook book. You guys exceeded my expectations if that is even possible. What a memorable weekend. Than you.
