Puffing Billy Daycare Reviews

Doesn't matter what age you are, the puffing Billy railway is enjoyable for all. Definitely an experience worth doing and the scenery of the beautiful Dandenong ranges is great too. Great for a day trip or if your staying in the ranges. This trestle bridge is also a cool spot to get some shots and do some photography. These drone shots were taken a while ago before they out no drone signs up. I don't think they allow drones over this spot anymore unfortunately.

We had a gorgeous experience on Puffing Billy. We opted for the trip to Menzies Creek for the Museum and morning tea. The staff were wonderfully friendly and helpful. My son lost his wallet, so we checked with the Stationmaster and it was returned, as a cleaner had found it.
The journey was beautiful. The Museum was very informative and interesting. The morning tea was also very good.
Just note, I did not see any gluten free options available, however we didn't mind as we headed off to lunch in Belgrave afterwards. If that is important to you, maybe pack a snack.
We hope to come back again soon.

Genuinely a nice experience on the Puffing Billy. The people are nice. The ride was nice. It was a good experience overall. Best tip is to sit on the seat facing the station. In my opinion the views are better from that side. End of the line Lakewood Park was very pleasant, although the time allowed before returning back to Belgrade was relatively short.

Definitely a decent and loveable journey. Nicely maintained. Good hygiene sense. Be sure to be prepared for your meal in lake view. The cafeteria is not that great.

The railway could be called really worthy of the price is reasonable. But high end price for what's its worth

The trip itself was really excellent. Bring a scarf and some warm clothes, but otherwise its picturesque and gorgeous. The kids loved it.

The Cafe at the end was disappointing. With 90 minutes at the stop, waiting 50 of them to get a kids size chips and nuggets is really not OK... some planning and prep work would solve that.

Truly an amazing experience. Went Puffing Billy for the first time taking 2 young kids, both the kids and us enjoyed a lot. Unique experience, totally worth it. We boarded from Belgrave and went up to Lakeside View. Boating at Lakeside View with Kids was a great fun. Kids were really so happy and even after coming back they want to go back. Will visit again very soon.

Absolutely loved our trip on Puffing Billy. It s like going on a time travel trip. The only thing I wish we would have done differently is to have more time to spend at the lakeside. I felt like 1,5 hours hasn t been enough to really explore the area. I felt like there was so much to do - and by the time we picked up our picnic pack and ate - it was time to go. Also the picnic pack isn t bad either for the money your pay.overall a very memorable experience and would love to come back again!

Puffing Billy is something that you have to try at least once. The unique experience gives you a whole new perspective of regional Victoria, how beautiful it is and most importantly how welcoming the people are from there. From Belgrave to Gembrook and back, we saw so many people standing outside their homes, just waving at us showing how happy they were to see us. You also come across a number of train enthusiast photographers throughout the journey and wonder if the shaky pictures/videos you took from your phone are going to be as beautiful as theirs haha. The whole trip was memorable for our family and the kids, though tired, had a fun day outside. They do not allow you to dangle your legs out of the window anymore, but the conductor did say that the government was probably going to come up with a solution soon and allow that again.

Awesome day out for the kids, coved safe and very reassuring when dealing with the staff, public can be a bit nonchalant and may need a bit of guidance in seating arrangements to maintain distances but all in all it was a great day out, train stops at the lake but is only enough time to eat and go for a quick walk. Scenery was picturesque and was even better being on a steam train with open carriages, staff were great too, very welcoming and friendly
