This optic is a fantastic buy. I tested it on my Steyr AUG at the range and it performed flawlessly. It’s incredibly lightweight, which is a huge plus. My friend even took it for a spin on his PS90 using 5.7x28mm rounds, which are wider than the standard 5.56mm, and it held up great. The design is clearly superior—I’m already planning to pick up the 7.62 version soon from PTR Firearms. Highly recommended!

A fellow shooter even tested it with his PS90, chambered in 5.7x28, which has a wider bullet profile than the standard 5.56x45. I’m currently the proud owner of seven PTR 91s and have already decided to replace all my AR-15s with PTR-63s.

I’ve been shooting over 500 rounds through this PTR rifle and it has been completely reliable. The free-float barrel combined with the iron sights makes it easy to hit a man-sized steel target at 550 yards. I installed a Bill Springfield buffer to reduce the recoil, and I’m planning to try the RCM #17 locking piece next. My only gripe is that they weld on the optics rail on the GI model; it would be great if they offered these rifles without the permanent rail to better suit the clone market.

I don’t usually bother leaving feedback, but the PTR Firearms suppressor genuinely blew me away and exceeded every expectation I had. It is remarkably quiet—seriously—without any annoying gas blowback, and the design looks tough. Despite its size, it’s surprisingly lightweight. I’ve got nothing but praise for it. If you’re on the fence, just go for it. Obviously, make sure it fits your specific setup first, but I’m already planning to pick up more in different calibers soon. I’d also love to see them expand with some shorter models in the future.

Five stars for PTR! I really hope they keep shipping to restricted states like California. I’m crossing my fingers they don’t force us back to black powder just because of that sail grip.

Solid performer for the price. I put a full can of Red Army Standard through this PTR rifle over two days with total reliability, aside from a few gripes with my steel magazines. I mounted a 1x6 LPVO and easily maintained consistent 2-3 inch groups at 100 yards, proving its accuracy. My only real complaint is the heavy, long trigger pull, likely around 12-15 lbs, though aftermarket upgrades should fix that. If you’re in a state with an AK ban and need a dependable option, this is an excellent choice.

I’ve handled plenty of 7.62x39 ammo from PTR Firearms, but this batch is hands down the softest shooting I’ve ever experienced. It’s also incredibly accurate. There is a bit of a break-in period that might surprise you at first, but once that happens, the performance is excellent. I really hope they don’t discontinue this version.

I have owned this gun model from PTR Firearms for years, starting back when they were known as JLD Enterprises. Every rifle I’ve had has been fantastic. Having worked in the firearms industry for over a decade, and previously serving as an armorer for the USMC, I don’t get impressed easily. However, the accuracy of this rifle is truly incredible—better than the original HK-91 I owned. My only wish is that the two heavy barrel options come back: the 16” and 18” lengths. I’ve owned both from previous iterations and they were excellent. The current versions have really stepped up with modern features. An 18” heavy barrel .308 in either the “FR” or “PSG-1” style would be perfect. I’ve been hitting 12-inch steel targets at 300 to 450 yards with iron sights!

I’m a huge fan of the concept behind this HK 556-style pistol and would love to see a more compact option like an 8.5 or 10.5-inch model. PTR FIREARMS is really onto something here. I’d definitely jump at the chance to pick one up if those shorter versions hit the market.

I absolutely love my PTR32 from PTR FIREARMS. It is accurate and a blast to shoot. Even though the rifle is a bit expensive, it handles cheap steel-cased ammo surprisingly well at distances up to 500 yards when paired with a Primary Arms LPVO and 7.62x39 BDC reticle. The weight is another story; they list it at 4.22lbs, but mine is easily double that, maybe even more (perhaps they meant the pistol variant). Being able to use standard AK magazines is a huge plus, especially compared to my C93 Sporter where mags are hard to find. I’m really happy with this purchase and surprised it isn’t more popular. It is a fantastic alternative to an AK.

I installed an MKE A3-style collapsible stock on my rifle. What makes this gun stand out is its compatibility with standard G3 and HK91 components, which is a huge plus. The only downside is that genuine HK parts tend to be quite expensive.

Having spent decades working with HK ranges in the eighties, I’ve fired thousands of rounds across their entire lineup. I can honestly say the PTR 308 pistol stands right alongside those HK firearms in terms of performance and feel—there’s genuinely no difference. The quality is top-notch, and the design is spot on. Finally got my hands on this 5.56! It’s been a long wait, but it was definitely worth it. As someone who never really clicked with AR platforms, I’m genuinely surprised by how much I enjoy shooting this round. PTR Firearms nailed it.

I’m really happy with my PTR PDW. It’s not something you see every day at the range, so it definitely stands out. The recoil is a bit heavy, which is why I plan to SBR it to add a stock. Solid 4 stars.

As a shooter who values precision, the PTR 32 KFR from PTR Firearms stands out as incredibly accurate—rivaling my bolt-action rifles in 7.62x39. I’d love to see the company expand their lineup with more barrel length variations and new calibers like the 6.5 Grendel (specifically an 18-inch option) or even 5.45x39.

The PTR FIREARMS pistol is a real powerhouse. It feels substantial in the hand, and the recoil is quite firm—when I shoot from the hip, I actually get pushed backward. As a 210-pound shooter, I can definitely feel the power it puts out. Solid piece of gear for anyone who wants that authentic feel.
