We stayed for one night. It was fine but overpriced imo. The hot tub was luke warm and had no bubbles. The pool area was pretty nice thoughThe rug around our ac was soaking wet from a leak or something. Our tv had issues and we were told someone from engineering would be right up but it took us going down to the desk and 2 calls to get someone to come up. The security guard who came up was nice and really helpful. All the staff was friendly. The lobby is nice and the location is great. Would just say a little run down.

Great location, close to everything. Convienent shuttle service. Wonderful customer service in hotel and restaurant. Food in the restaurant was good but the buffet breakfast was hit or miss. Clean, comfortable room. Perfect stay!

I ve always stuck with Marriott (244 nights in the past 8 years), and this might just be the worst Marriott I ve ever stayed in and likely the reason I switch loyalty to another brand. If I wasn t having a good day, I d likely just throw away the cost and stay somewhere else. Musty rooms, torn carpet, stains, mold, a gas station 100 feet from the window (which is like a basement apartment). This is apparently the only room they have left and this is for Elite members. So disappointed in my choice - should ve believed the reviews!

Front desk staff were very friendly and made me feel welcome. As a lifetime platinum MR member I can tell when the staff really likes their jobs. The pool area here was very nice and relaxing with a outdoor bar and food area.. Delaney, the bartender/ server was really attentive and always made sure my glass was full. Great value in Providence.

Early check in available. Front desk efficient and friendly. Room could use updates...carpeting was old and windows were dirty. Bed was great. Pool was lovely except they allow people to "hold" chairs by the pool with a towel so there were no chairs available even though no one was sitting there. Put of the way location...not downtown...actually about 1.5 miles walk to downtown.

This review is based off a single, one night stay. Hotel is scheduled to begin renovations in January 2019, and they are scheduled to last approximately 18 months. The renovations are needed. My room and the common areas were clean, but clearly worn. TVs do not have the set top boxes to facilitate streaming, bathrooms are kinda poorly pit, etc. Fitness center is great. WiFi is great. Restaurant is great. Bar is great. Staff is very friendly. I would stay here again, but am looking forward to staying in a remodeled room.

This hotel was much nicer than I expected. The rooms were average but the common areas were quite nice. The building is a little difficult to navigate but that's not a huge issue. I would go back.

Danica was absolutely delightful at check in. Thank you. Free internet and parking. Downtown view, clean property, beautiful lobby, even the other guests here were all nice! Will only stay here when in Providence

Staying at the marriott providence seemed like a safe bet. I do a great deal of traveling and have stayed in my fair share of hotels. Today as I sit in my tiny room here at the marriott I am appalled with service here at this "upscale" hotel. Nothing says I don't want your repeat business like poor customer service. Arriving here, my fellow guests and I were greeted poorly. With the condescending front desk staff, mentioning how we booked through a third party site. Then saying they will be putting us on their "club member's" floor. When I say the beds are barely touching with little space left in the room to walk, there is no exaggeration. We took the shuttle into town to enjoy the day. When we called for it to come pick us up, we waited, and waited. the shuttle needless to say never came. so we took an Uber back. The next morning when we tried to go down for breakfast we greeted and sat. The hostess starts telling my brother and I what the breakfast consists of and how much it costs... I told her our room came with complimentary breakfast. She then asked what room we were in. After telling her the number, without looking at anything she immediately replied that our room was booked for 2 breakfast buffets. I just shrugged and decided to go back to the room to rectify the situation, considering the room was booked for four. spending well over two hundred dollars a night on a room seems silly when you do not get the amenities you signed on for. Calling the front desk trying to see what the deal was, not getting anywhere I asked to speak with a manager. The manager christine told me over and over that it was their policy that it was only two per room. Even though we clearly booked a room for four with two beds. I come to providence for the Gay Pride Festival every year. I will not be recommending this hotel, and will not be repeating business.

Always great. Easy and accommodating. Pool is A+. Hot tub as well (when hot and clean...) staff are always helpful. Borrowed the bikes at the front lobby. Perfect thing to do on a Sunday in Providence. Bike lanes help. Sipsea outside goes out of her way to be helpful. Same with the staff at the bar for breakfast. The upgrades are coming along nicely. Might need a couple more new ice machines.

Worst hotel ever. A problem every day. Asked for an extra towel and was told it would be right up....never happened. Asked multiolentimes for the microwave they offered to put in the room....took 2.5 hours. Ac unit caught on fire during the night and the room filled with smoke. They had no other room so the solution was to go to a hotel 45min away at 2am or stay in a friends room. The list could go on. Guests are complaining daily.

This is a pathetic hotel the worst in downtown not letting hotel transportation services workers to use the restroom unless You register I was about to book a room but because of this welcoming words I decide to go somewhere else in Providence. NOT RECOMMENDED AT ALL FOR TRAVELERS AND CUSTOMERS.

What a pleasant and wonderful spot close to everything in Providence Rhode Island. Easy walk Uber or drive up to College hill to visit Brown or RISD or down the road to Providence College. The state house is really close and well woth a visit. My boys loved the indoor outdoor pool and I loved being able to get a snack poolside while they played. The real highlight for me though is the staff. I want to single out the Director of Operations Mario for his willingness to help work through any hiccoughs and Willie for going above and beyond in helping me out. I can't wait to come back in November.

Clean, comfortable, excellent bed. Great pool area. Some amenities were not fully open due to covid but we felt that their cleaning and social distancing protocols were following all recommendations.

This Marriott property has improved significantly in its maintenance and upkeep over the last 1 year. Was here recently after nearly a year, and had a very pleasant stay. Their service is significantly better than their peers, and the property as such has many good restaurant (e.g. Bluefin) and lounging (e.g. Aqua) options. Their swimming pool is quite an attraction for both locals and guests.

It was a very clean establishment. A little dated, but serviceable. The location itself is very safe and comfortable, but the immediate surrounding area was challenging for traffic. The price was outrageous, even by Boston or New York prices.

My room is fine. It's a room, but definitely not what I'd expect from the Marriott. The floor is gross. I have sticky spots on the carpet. The bathroom seems to have dirt/mold in the corners. Also, the walls are kind of thin. I can hear people yelling in the next room and when walking in the hallway, I can hear people clearly talking and I'm able to make out every word. I was only given one towel on check in and had to call the front desk for more. The A/C unit is also very noisy, I think it needs some maintenance. I think the hotel just needs a general update. On a better note, the bed is pretty comfortable and the tv is a good size. The hotel also offers Wifi. If needed I would stay in this hotel again. Other rooms may be better in general cleanliness and condition.

Yup this is definitely one of the better marriott/Westin out there. Fully remodeled - standard shower, new carpet, desk lamp with touch sensor etc. Super comfy bed! Only complaint is the towels - too thin from overuse. Rooms have a neutral modern decor similar to but more spacious than the AC brand. Free parking (only one of the three marriott in downtown). No continental breakfast.

Can't say enough about this Marriott! Had my wedding reception there exactly one month ago today. For the months leading up to the day, the customer service couldnt have been any better! They always were so accomodating and helpful. For having 215 people attend our wedding reception, the day couldnt have gone anymore perfect. With the extensive experience and positive attitudes of Nicole McCreadie, Jack Coppolino, Charlene Dickie, and Franklin & Andrew (head servers), everything went so smoothly and people have still been talking about how it is the best wedding they've ever attended. I cant thank these individuals enough for going the extra mile to make me feel so special and well taken care of on my special day. The complementary bridal suite room was amazing. Everything was so clean and well put together. I really cant thank the providence marriott and their staff enough. Truly an amazing experience and I would recommend them as a wedding venue and as a hotel for anyone!

The renovated rooms are very nice. The bar and restaurant are good. We had an issue with housekeeping. We went out for the day, come back at 4 and the room was not cleaned (but items I requested through the app were done). Texted the manager on duty (they texted me first and said I could contact them that way) told them we were leaving for a charity event and to have housekeeping come after 6pm. He said no problem. Returned at midnight and the room still had not been cleaned. Talked to the new mod showed the text messages and they comped the room. A good ending but still frustrating.

Service was terrible, waitress making faces and comments because we ordered steak, (I don't need to know you do not eat meat and how bad it is for me in your opinion) Food was not that good. The Seafood Scampi plate was red hot but the Linguini was cold. Would not go there again.

The hotel manager Farruk (sp?) went above and beyond for my son and I. His kindness is something that will be remembered forever. He is not only great at his job but he is an overall amazing human.
