I came to ER with friend and they helped her immediately. The staff is very professional caring and courteous. The waiting room is extremely clean they get people in right away. Hopefully you never have to go to ER but if you do this is the place!
honestly, i never thought i would write a five-star review of an ER, but this was as good as it gets. it still took three hours to get through everything, but that was CT scans, X-rays, bloodwork, and entire solution bag of IV fluids, some painkillers...being examined, the whole nine years.
at every step of the way i was treated with kindness and compassion, and at no point was there anything that i would have asked for more of. truly kinda surprised at that, but it was a good experience.
for context, i fell down a hole in the street which had not been properly covered and had contusions and scrapes and needed to get checked out to make sure nothing was broken.
really can't ask for more than they did. maybe i just got lucky.
Shelley the blonde RN at the front desk needs to be retrained in patient treatment. Rude, uncaring, and her multitasking skills need a lot of work as well. Her abrasive treatment towards people coming in for help might be why they have her behind a desk rather than the actual care given to the injured or sick. The last thing anyone needs when they go to the ER is to be treated badly, and made to feel worse than before they walked in!
The ER is always crowded, long wait time and the staff really doesn't care about their patients, never coming back here again!
This has been the worst hospital visit ever! If I could give this hospital 0 stars I would because it does not even deserve 1 star. When we got there at 10 pm the emergency room was completely full. By 4 am it was nearly empty except for us and a couple other people who arrived way after us. We waited for 6 hours and were not seen by anyone. What kind of emergency room is that??? Apparently one has to show up dying to get treated or even looked at by the nurses. The desk women are useless and rude with a nasty attitude acting as if they don't get paid and are volunteering their time and apparently the doctors and nurses are incompetent. They can't take 10 minutes to look at a baby with fever. Do they have just one doctor who specializes in treating fevers, or does the hospital need help placing an ad for more doctors???? I do not recommend this hospital AT ALL. 3.8 stars is very generous and is not representative of the terrible place that it is.
06/04/18 I was at little cup Mary for 4 hours and my lady could even get a breathing treatment for asthma so we made a complaint and left head down the street to Torrance hospital and got treated with care less then 20mins thank you Torrance hospital
I am a current patient at this hospital and this is as honest as I can be based on my experience. I am quadraplegic and It's 11:20, still waiting to be fed on Monday, 5th of Aug 2019. Been here 3 weeks, sleeping with a migrane, neck pain and stiff shoulders! The doctors won't provide me with Diloded or however it's spelled because "I don't have it in my facility" well duh?! Then they said yes twice and never put the order through.
Many years ago my daughter was born here. Everything went very, very smoothly with the hospital and staff.
They took really good care of my mother. Was just there again today to visit a friend in ICU and a pleasant nurse named Kasey was on top of it. You can tell she loves her job. She took really good care of my friend. My friend is in good hands.
Treatment was absolutely great! But is was clearly stated several times that the patient was a 100% disabled vet and that the Department of Veteran affairs was to be billed so what did Little Co of Mary do they billed Medicare Now the battle of co pays and deductibles begins. Bills that should not have been generated if it had been billed correctly. This is one reason why Medicare is in trouble!

As a former EMT I worked with the 4th floor Telemetry Oncology staff for 20 days and can give an honest clear review.
The staff is not only caring and professional but they are a great team. I lost my wife to God. The staff gave me time to adjust to the inevitable. Without them my wife would have been to heaven long ago.
If I need to go into the hospital I hope this staff will be there to care for me.
The doctors and nurses in the labor and delivery are amazing. The doctors doing the c-sections are a god sent. They did an amazing job on my wife and she also was more alert after the c-section which i thought was amazing. Definitely recomend Dr. Louis-jacques as an OBGyn she is an amazing doctor she did a great job for my wife. We are highly pleased with a new addition to our family. Our beautiful babygirl.

I was born here...many years ago. I'm British, my parents were naturalised Americans. I grew up with The NHS so I only know about state health care. I just remember my mum saying how they wanted the credit card payment details before they would admit her. she was in labour and breaking water....this was not an experence she was even usde to.....I'm sure everything else was fine.....
Loved this hospital they really helped my father. The nurses and staff were all excellent and had the best bedside manners.
From the moment I walked through these doors this facility has exhibited true care. Emergency rooms are always crowded and understaffes... but a little sincerity goes a long way. It's that bit of humanity that is the first dose of "medicine" that makes the wait tolerable and promotes healing beginning with ones well being. Thank you for caring for me PLCMMCT
After waiting six hours I find out despite me asking if they meant to call my last name because it was pronounced wrong and there was no first name ...they have given the room prepared for me to the wrong person and now I have to wait more hours. To be honest I m frustrated and tired but do diligence in this field could be life or death. This just is not acceptable and I will not be returning.

My Family member came into this ICU.While dressing the Asian member that took down her account information opened the curtain without notifying, before she was dressed and laughed that he caught her changing. Her purse was ransacked and left on the table next to her. They took her blood pressure over the needle causing her to bleed. I am this close to getting a lawyer. Make sure your loved one takes in only what they need as this location has thief s on staff. If you had similiar experience please share. Only then will the administrators of this hospital make the needed changes in care.
This hospital hires out-of-network physicians so be careful and insurance companies won t help with negotiation. Physician services cost a lot and since they re out of network, there won t be any discounts. I contacted California Health Department to file a complaint and they too gave me the run around but finally referred me to a nonprofit legal services. I was able to negotiate the bills but it was a hassle. Why does state allow an in network hospital to hire out-of-network physicians. It s a scandalous practice that should be illegal.
I personally do not like visiting hospitals, but I must say that this hospital has been so far the best one I've been to. The staff is amazing. They are so helpful and respectful. RN Roseann and RN Branda were in charge of my mother and I have nothing but good to say about them.

Friendly staff, quick service, and knowledgeable doctor! We are visiting this area from Nashville, and my husband needed treatment for a spider bite. We were in and out quickly, and, more importantly, my husband had great care. Thank you, Providence Little Co. of Mary Medical, for taking such good care of my husband!
The doctor was rude. I didn't even get to talk to him after reading my diagnosis, which was not right. I hate going to the er here now and will only go if necessarily needed because I have had tons of bad experiences here- long waits, unprofessional staff. I am starting to not want go here anymore after many years of dedication. They make me feel stupid, when I have real issues going on!

I wanted to go to my home country and treat my problem but they sent all the reports very late only after I reaching there.I had requested for the reports 1 month before I leave.They did all the tests and ended up with no solution.Now I am getting the bills one by one.Will never go there again.

Came here with ambulance because of severe stomach pain and dehydration. They asked me to sit in the lobby for 2 hours. They transferred me and some other to upstairs room. Apparently had to wait for another hour for doctor. They haven t gave me any IV or any medication. I got mad and left the hospital
Very poor experience - took my son to the ER; per advice of his GP. He was not called for check-up even after waiting for nearly three hours! Their ER system is simply very very inefficient and they have no shame about it. I just paid my ER copay and left the premises. I am never gonna visit this hospital again!
Doctor Tardiness Annoyance
I m in my third trimester and have to see a doctor regularly. One case was the doctor was 20 min or more late on my morning appointment (she wasn t in the office on time). I get it but when she came in, she did not apologize or say anything and pretended THIS WHOLE CASE never happened. I did not appreciate that.
The second time I was with a diff OB. She had no appointment before me. I was early by 10 min. I end up waiting for almost 35 to 40 min for her and had to eventually ask for her. She was in her office God knows doing what. Lady keep your appointment on time. Thanks
The Ob needs to make sure they are punctual if they can and acknowledge tardiness when they miss their time.

My husband just got transfer to California for work and I came to this hospital because my daughter had an allergic reaction to something . The right side of her face swelled up . I have been seating her for 4 Hours and the still haven't seen a doctor. Worst experience ever really the Dam worst .

My experience has been great for both my mom and myself. I believe that the staff is courteous, empathetic and genuinely concerned for the patients well being. I recently went there for numbness on my left side of my face and I will tell you, the service was excellent, from the orderly's to the technicians and the doctors. I went through an array of tests that had negative results. Thank GOD!I just believe that one bad apple shouldn't spoil the type of service provided by the hard working men and women at this hospital, including the volunteers. Just my perspective...
We are so thankful and grateful for the entire Little Company of Mary staff! Literally the entire staff was amazing! We were so blessed to have my Father in your hospital; he was well taken care of. The staff kept us updated daily, of course when time permitted. During the hard COVID-2021 we were able to zoom, facetime and even spoke to my Father on the nurses cell phones sometimes. Those little conversations were so helpful! Thank you so much again from the bottom of my heart. Thank you Dr. Claud and Dr. Feld you guys are true heroes. Thank you Nurse Shirlene (ICU) and Nurse Katrina (PCU). God bless you all

I have never been in 1 chair in my entire life. Came here with a kidney stone took them 3 hours to see me. Then another 4 hours to see my doctor. Severely under staffed and something has to be changed ASAP. absolutely unacceptable.

My Mom was in for 3 days. At The ER was great excellent service. But As soon she was admitted the things completely change they don't give her a good care at the 4 floor. They discharge her on the 16 at night even she still in a bad pain . And after few hours she was sending again to the ER in another different Hospital.
My advice to the people there is if you can be there with you love ones. They can die the patients needs to have a Family member to fight for them. Never leave alone you live one.
My mom had bad leg pain from sciatica. Took her to the er and they gave her a shot that made it 50x worse! Literally had her crying and cringing on the floor in pain. Came back to the er following night and got to wait 6 hours!!! While she was practically screaming in pain. This is a sad excuse for an emergency room.
I had a car accident, I am dying of pain and not even an aspirin for pain has given me the truth, the attention is better in the California hospital than here and that is saying a lot is the worst

I love this hospital so much always takes good care of my mother and my husband when i take them. Everyone is so friendly and so professional, keep up the good work. I will definitely recommend this hospital to everybody.
Terribly, terribly rude doctor (Kasey Lai). Pops in for a few minutes every 1-2 days, gives incredibly dismissive explanations (if any), and treats the place like a prison. You know how you're supposed to have a discussion with your doctor about what's going on, what does he think the diagnosis is, what is going to happen next, and what treatments they're giving you? Not here. If you provide any information on how you're feeling and it goes against anything on the chart, the jaded doctors here will feel threatened and shut off their consideration for your case. Dr. Lai will also literally PUT HIS HAND IN YOUR FACE when you're talking to interrupt you.
Nurses will try to advocate for you... sometimes..., but they don't have any power (or say they don't) and constantly shrug off everything to their missing doctors. Doctors have the most ridiculous egos I've ever seen - don't question them AT ALL, even politely, or you will get reprimanded (they'll take away your food, take away your medicine).
Oh, also if loved ones call in to nurses and want to check on how you're doing, they will actually SCOLD you for BOTHERING nurses. What kind of place has so little humanity that they feel criticizing and lecturing patients is the right thing do when loved ones call to check on those that need urgent medical care? Caseworkers are rude, incompetent, and like to provide false information... keep that in mind.
Just avoid this place. Not only will you NOT get medical help and waste a lot of money waiting for incompetence to stop constantly bumping into each other, they'll treat your loved ones like garbage too.
My daughter survived the birthing process with 10 toes and fingers, so that warrants a 5 star review.
I had outpatient hernia surgery there. All the staff members were extremely helpful, professional and friendly. I would recommend this hospital 1000%!!!

Nothing like going in somewhere voluntarily to get help for mental health than listening to staff & security guards make fun of people with mental health issues. Sent me to another facility without explaining what it was.
Shows how poorly equipped and insensitive the staff is to handle these issues. Left both facilities feeling worse than when I entered.

Staff here is always very helpful, informative and compassionate.
My aunt went into the emergency room on Friday afternoon. She has broken her hip by either falling or by twisting her body, putting pressure on her hip and pelvis. She was admitted into the emergency room, evaluated, given a scan and had a blood work up and received a bed at 2:30am, which in my experience is better than average hospital. She had surgery about 8 hours later and they put a pin in her hip. From the beginning and to date, the staff has been exceptional, the kind of service I have come to experience at Catholic hospitals. The people are very professional and at the same time very compassionate. This is an exceptional hospital and I am glad that my aunt is a patient there.
This hospital is not because I have hospitalized my great Love and wife Marina R. But the truth is a complete hospital in the branch, doctors, nurses, assistants and other well trained staff and the best Respectful, my sincere congratulations

Spent 2 hours in a bed waiting to see the doctor only to hear him take a phone call from a friend who's daughter had a minor medical issue. The doctor told them to come straight to him and bypass the entire ER. 20 minutes later he sees this little girl, who had some trouble urinating, gives her a bed and runs tests immediately all completely for free and while patients in the ER waited. This ER is a joke, apparently if you have a friend who's a doctor you are immediately more important than any other patient, and don't have to pay for treatment. Must be nice.
highly suggest going to Torrance memorial instead. They seem to be much more compassionate

If I could get zero stars I would. My husband went into the little company of mary he was having complications to diabetes. Which in the end had his leg surgically removed. While in the hospital someone got his ID and charged over $6,000 to sprint by buying 10 iPhones. The reason why we know it happened there his ID was with him when he went into the hospital. On the day that it happened he was in the hospital on a ventilator so there's no way he could have done it. Now the little company mary continues to bills us for $200.00 for the removal of his leg which the insurance paid for already.
What a place billing office can t find records from 2 years ago then collection agency calls for payment. Lcm said Resubmitted to insurance. Bunch people Need retraining. Hospital nickname of a business who does work in Hospital is Little Company of Money. Wastes a lot on Services s for moving Hospital wares Ask Redondo Van and storage. They over bill them all time. Spoke Amy who is another willing idiot employee. Dr khang a white lady asian name leave Hospital 3 hours and comes back said in meeting but could tell she went has dinner and drinks that s a wonderful doctor
