Promise house Review

My 15 year old sister who was placed with your facility through CPS on a judges order was allowed to leave your facility with a male on the evening of Friday, December 25th...Christmas. Your facility failed to notify the proper authorities until the next morning and further failed to inform CPS or her case worker until Monday, almost 3 days later. Someone will be held accountable for the gross mishandling of her care and blatant disregard for her safety.

Furthermore, when your facility finally chose to make the report with the Dallas Police Department, they failed to mention that she requires medication daily in order to function in a somewhat sound manner. Without it, she becomes manic, depressive, and has no capacity to make safe decisions. Your facilities failure to notify the Police Department of her need for mental health stabilizing medication, has hindered our ability to publicize Ariels picture and information and made her a non priority.

Don't bother applying for a position. If you apply, it will be a waste of time. What company, in the year 2018, doesn't acknowledge your application? You take time out of your day to apply, yet you don't hear a word. Not professional. It says volumes about the agency if you ask me. I won't apply in the future that's for sure. If you're a hardworking person with a good skill-set, take your talents and skills someplace else. These people couldn't care less.

Well I was there for 2 weeks it was ok the food was terrible! And my roommate was stealing my stuff they don t let you bring ur own food there but the staff was ok the children were very violent I was very glad to be out of there ! - faith green

I was recently at promise house in 2018 and the staff are great, my needs were being met I definitely recommend now i'm doing better i'm getting adopted. I really do appreciate all the help that was given

This is not good place i hear of place that are to help people but this is not it check banks account and tell people what to do if it was boot camp this place need to be report to the state

Promise house is the best place for us kids. The staff are a bigg blessing to us. I was recently at promise house I learned so much and they helped me with a lot, there like a family to me. Without them God knows how it would be but I'm glad I was at promise house

They never returned my calls for an intake. It took a week of my calling and leaving voicemails for someone to call me back just to tell me that my client was denied. The reasons for why she was not a good fit for their shelter were absurd. I did not know that shelters will deny your application if you aren t stable, and too scared to open up about traumatic experiences. Isn t that what shelters are for? To help you get stable? To help you cope with your trauma? I guess with this place they decide to penalize you if you have any kind of issues or if you re too traumatized to communicate with the workers. The communication with this place is awful as well, a lady said that she would send me a list of other places to try and never did. I guess they like to see people on the street as well.

Disgusting service

My son spent some time at Promise House over 2 years ago. He was a teenager - I was a single Mom with 3 other kids. He will never forget his time at Promise House when he needed structure and care. It was a time when I was unable to provide what was needed in his young life. Thank you, Promise House - my son has grown up to be a very kind and compassionate man that helps others.
