Took the Folding Knife class, conducted by Chris Fry on 07.11. Incredibly informative, great for beginners and good for those wanting a refresh. Not only technique was discussed, but also situational awareness and the possible consequences of using your knife. Looking forward to running through some of their other courses.

Had a good class with PFC. I highly recommend the PH1 class to anybody who may have acquired a CCW but not had any formal training yet. Getting on the line and cranking out reps with your peers and following formal instruction is a great supplement to your regular range time. It was extra useful to me because I had watched a lot of videos online, but the live support really helped to identify things that needed work.

Some extra notes for anybody taking courses at their complex south of Vegas: the road leading up can be a bit rocky, so be careful if you have a low rider. The classes take place inside a converted connex, so bring extra layers, sun protection, etc. as you will be exposed to the elements for a portion of the day.
