As owner and operator of Austin Jetskier for the last 27 years, I have had my fair share of salesman calling for misc. reasons. One such salesman employed by Priority Payment Systems South talked me into switching merchant services showing me how I would save money going with the company he was representing, Priority Payment Systems South. Being under contract with another company, he stated they pay the early termination fee which is apparently common practice in the merchant services field. $495.00 was the amount I was told and they did that. Before signing this new long contract, I specifically asked about fee's including an early termination fee if I was to come across a better company down the road. $495.00 I was told. I signed the contract and initialed many pages asking a few questions along the way. I didn't think I would have to have a lawyer to read between the lines here. This salesman assured me of no hidden fee's and I felt happy to know I was to save money going with this company. Never heard anything from my previous company after switching to Priority Payment Systems South. Straight forward and simple.
A few month ago I was approached by the same salesman stating that he now represented a few other companies and had a better plan for me. I had been with Priority Payment Systems South for over a year I believe and am not in a habit of jumping at the next best deal. He got paid either way he told me stating he still worked for Priority Payment Systems South. He showed me the savings which was significant so I changed up again against my better judgment. I was ready to have the usual $495.00 deducted from my account as the new company buys out the early termination fee.
I had seen the $495.00 being deducted from my account in a statement but after checking my account it actually never went through. I called Priority Payment and they stated the fee was rejected. I went to my bank and looked into this matter and they have NO attempt from Priority Payment for deducting the amount. A mistake on there end. They now told me the fee was over $2200.00. Why the extra fee? At this point I was dealing with William Willoughby. We told you not to change companies he told me and then stated it was in the contract....somewhere. I have not seen it and certainly was not going to pay an additional $1720.00. I still planned to pay the original $495.00 any time they requested, but I feel I am being taken advantage of with this new fee.
During my conversation with William Willoughby he got very angry and told me he was going to tell my neighbors and customers of Austin Jetskier how I do business and hung up on me. Really? He told me that which seems very unprofessional. This case is now in collections against me and they now want just under $3000.00. This individual I dealt with reacted like a child let alone a supervisor. Stay away from Priority Payment Systems South.
