We love this place. We have had two daughters go here. The education is first rate, and they manage to keep it rigorous without losing the fun. Highly recommended.

My children have been students at PDT for almost three years and we cannot be happier. The program provides students with a serious and pure dance education without pretension. The teachers are amazing and meticulously trained. Many are imported from NY and the Jazz teacher (Matt) choreographs for commercials and Off-Broadway. Miss Maura is particularly wonderful and nurturing with the little ones. I have yet to meet a child who does not love her - they practically tackle her with hugs after every class. My older children have made the best friends of their lives. They are amazingly trained and can easily pick up any and all choreography, from ballet, to jazz, to hip hop. The highest level dancers at the school are incredible and get into the most competitive ballet summer intensives in the country. If your child is serious about dance, or needs a solid dance education for musical theater, there is no better school around.

My dance background includes a college degree from UNC School of the Arts and a professional career for several years after college. It was very important to me to find a studio that offered excellent technique in a healthy environment. If you have spent any time in dance studios at all you know these two elements are mutually exclusive. PDT offers excellent, nurturing, and serious dance training. The production value of the Dance Visions company is unparallelled in the region. I wholeheartedly recommend PDT for the serious and recreational study of many forms of dance.
