All staff extremely friendly and welcoming and do their best to put you at ease. When I had to have an injection in my eye the nurses and doctors were amazing and really comforted me at a incredibly distressing time. I do highly recommend Prince Charles eye unit. When going to casualty their can be a wait just like with most hospitals.

I have been here about 4 times in the last year with Blurry vision, I have been plied with steroidal eye drops and sent on my way. No doctor here can pinpoint what the cause is and I actually feel my eyesight has since worsened. On my last visit I was told that I should consider private care which to me is an admission that they are incompetent!

I was seen very quickly, first by a very competent nurse, and then by an excellent doctor. I was given treatment, reassurance and written advice all within 20 minutes. Fantastic service long live the NHS! Thank you.

What a wonderful bunch of people! Had cataract surgery on Monday morning and was feeling very anxious. Everyone one from the receptionist , nurses and doctors were extremely friendly and supportive. Can't praise them enough. Thank you all.

As a patient referred here two years ago with Macular Degeneration and on steroid drops treatment. Service is good but very disappointed by the doctors who saw me so far who are in rush to get rid of you. Don't listen to you. You are out in 5 minutes. Covid -19 just an excuse. Today 20 Oct 2020, Dr Ho saw me and did not bother to listen to me and looked on the screen n just said today is my last appointment. He spoke abt my blood test but I did not have any blood test. When I told him what previous doc told abt my eye me, he proudly said that doc is a trainee and I am a surgeon. I don't know who to believe. Without answering my questions he just opened the door for me to leave. Horrible treatment.

I was a little put off by the fact my appointment had been changed twice. And when I arrived, I was alarmed to see the size of the queue, and the amount of people in the waiting room. And yet when they saw me - more or less at the time stated, they couldn't have been more friendly, professional and reassuring. Despite the initial worries, they came across as highly efficient. When you have problems with something as important as your eyes, these are precisely the sort of people you want dealing with them.

Seen the doctor, good service. Prescribed something I cannot get in England in any pharmacy. Tried calling 8 times to get to speak to someone who can help me - I need an alternative prescribed. Just keep getting bounced from reception to reception to switchboard to switchboard with no useful person on the phone. Totally useless service.

My optician could not see me so told me to go to Prince Charles eye Unit. I thought I saw on line that it was a "walk in-walk out" facility but was told on arrival that the wait would be 1-4 hrs - probably nearer 4. One and a half hours before basic triage and another 2.5 before saw a Doctor. Doctor was very efficient and was able to confirm what I had suspected. Left Unit after 5 hours. At least 5 people had been in the unit the same amount of time or longer. Make sure you take a book and something for children to do if you have to take them. Staff very nice but it is a LONG wait
