The Aiwan-e-Sadr (In Urdu language) or Presidency Palace is the official residence and principal workplace of the President of Pakistan. The administrative head of Aiwan-e-Sadr is the Principal Secretary to President.
The first President who resided there was Ghulam Ishaq Khan, in 1988. Aiwan-e-Sadr is located in northeastern Islamabad on Constitution Avenue between the Parliament Building and the Cabinet block of the Pakistan Secretariat. Residences for the Presidential staff are also located behind the Presidency, known as the President's Colony adjacent to 4th Avenue. President Pervez Musharraf never lived in the palace as he was also the Army Chief and therefore lived in the Army House in Rawalpindi. The former President Asif Ali Zardari moved into the palace a day before his inauguration. Currently, Mamnoon Hussain, the President of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan resides there.

Very bad staff, disrespectful guards and check post police officers. They talk to you as if you're a servant or some low-class human being. Went there to visit but turned back directly after experiencing that. Very disappointing experience.

In 2008 Pakistan with increasing pressure from international community, pakistan stepped up its animal rights campaign and elected the first dog as head of state. The most fabulous kennel in Pakistan. Has been a home to breeds like Zardari and Mamnoon.
