This hotel is conveniently located to all tourist sites in downtown Springfield. It's fairly priced, beds are comfortable, pool and hot tub could use a deep cleaning. The check-in process could be a little more convenient. All in all an okay value for your money. And the best place to stay in one visiting Springfield.

The staff was very nice and the location was perfect to see the sights. My only issue was one of our rooms smelled as if cigarette smoke was deep in the linens or drapes. This really affected one of my kids that has asthma. Would've been perfect other than that.
Good hotel to stay at, pool area was clean, workout area was clean. Room was nice, good feel overall to the place. It is dated but rooms are up to date and service provided was top notch!
It is a very nice hotel. I'm sure it will be even better when COVID is over. They got only 4 stars because we found mold on the vent in our room and the heat wasn't working properly. However, we didn't check the room thoroughly when we arrived and we didn't report the faulty heater. That was our fault. My friend who travels for work told us: ALWAYS CHECK YOUR ROOM WHEN YOU ARRIVE AT A HOTEL; ALWAYS REPORT A PROBLEM RIGHT AWAY. Sage words.
Staff are polite. No housekeeping unless you need something. Restaurant has a very limited menu. No room service. Room is dated, water damage / mold in the restroom. No fridge in room. Stained bedding.
This hotel is stellar!! We stay here because it's so close to Lincoln's home and Obed and Isaac's!! We stayed again overnight, February 6-7. The staff is ALWAYS friendly and the rooms are beautiful.The Covid-19 precautions were above and beyond!! The door is sealed with a sticker to show the room has been cleaned!! Even the remote controls are cleaned!! Ours had a paper wrap around it to show it'd been wiped down!! The pool area was super clean and so was the gym. The women's locker room was super clean as well. We stay here pretty much once a year and they NEVER disappoint!! Only problem was the elevators; signs clearly state only two people to an elevator at a time (which obviously doesn't apply if you have children with you or the like) but a group of drunk people tried to get on with us which wasn't the hotel's fault. You get what you pay for and they're so worth the price!! Always a wonderful stay!!
Very happy with stay; checked in with Will and he was welcoming and knowledgeable, and explained how the parking works (in and out privileges). Chocolate chip cookies are always delicious at Doubletrees. Room was comfy, spacious and beautiful. Property seems to have 3 elevators however only one working at time of service... we shared the elevator with other families sometimes but we were okay with that... masks are required in common areas due to covid. We tayed 2 nights and visited the pool 3x and every time we practically had it to ourselves. Fitness room is open too.
Great location. Spent two nights here exploring downtown Springfield. There's so much to do and great restaurants and bars within walking distance.
