Vancouver Presentation House sent Max and a Storyteller to St. Louis Missouri to COCA and delighted audiences to the MAX (get it?) It was a delightful afternoon in which the children's sense of magic was honored and the adults got to return to childhood for an hour. Well done! Thank you, COCA!

Had an amazing time bringing a 3 y/o to PHT's 'Where The Wild Things Are' last night. The kiddo raved about the show on the drive home and didn't want it to end. Worth the trip from New West ten times over. We will definitely be coming back!

My daughter did summer camp here and it was her most favourite camp ever. They did such an amazing job. The theatre itself is very small and intimate with not a bad seat in the house. I love this little theatre!

The vancouver Terminal location is terrible for contractors. They have hundreds of buggies and it takes 20 minutes to find one of the 2 carts that can be used for drywall and lumber.....more carts please

A venerable institution on the North Shore. I do the North Shore Zone Festival for Theatre BC there every year as Technical Director. They have a new floor and seating installed now, mmmmmm comfy. Giselle is phenomenal.

I Love this cute Theatre on the North Shore. There was a large number of people delaying traffic in protest and they waited in solidarity for everyone to arrive and the play we saw was life changing for me to watch. Although it hit home with me it was nice to show my guest a little into the world of my people. #godslake

Allow me to spin ye a wee yarn...
My tale begins two days ago, when my nail technician and good friend Fiona from Luxury Nails on Lonsdale handed me two *FREE* tickets to the opening night performance of Top Hats and Tails at The Production House Theatre, at 333 Chesterfield.

Fiona went on to tell me that the strange and smiling man who gave her these tickets insisted that, should she not be able to use them herself, she could only pass them on to another member of the local community. She told him that she knew just the right person, ME! Of course.

Well, I LEAPT for joy at the chance to see live theatre! Especially with having just had my nails done! Yay, right?! (I started phoning up my list of babysitters, and girlfriends immediately).

And being the inquisitive, slightly jaded me that I am, I was also a little intrigued as to why this jovial stranger would be handing out free opening night tickets, so willy-nilly to unsuspecting members of the lower Lonsdale community...

The more I investigated, the more local businesses I found had been given tickets...

The 7-11! Starbucks! Even a couple of local school teachers... What was going on? Had the world gone mad? Was it a secret society going for a multi level marketing plan, or worse, a timeshare sales scheme!!! I decided I owed it to my Google Review followers to find out.

The next night, the doors opened, the red carpet rolled out, and the well dressed ushers and doorsmen invited the buzzing crowd of ticket holders inside from the rain.

The many smiling faces with volunteer badges were a clear testament to the honest-to-goodness passion that ran like a warm current through the Theatre.

The sense of community and inclusion that I got from hearing Kim Selody, the Artistic Director, speak his welcome to us, as valued members of the North Vancouver Family, was as warm and tangible as the red velvet curtains hanging behind him. He explained that there was no reason for inviting us, other than to how we enjoyed his theater, perhaps tweeted about it, but mostly, that we as his community partners in business and art, enjoyed the Theatre.

We were all honered and humbled to enjoy the gift of a night of truly great Theatre!
Top Hats and Tails with Dik and Mitzi Productions at the Presentation House Theatre was a family friendly, laugh-a-minute night out to remember! I can't wait to go again, and I highly recommend supporting this community friendly, inclusive, altruistic, honest and good Theatre.
