If I could give zero stars, I would. From the owners and managers to the actual workmanship, this company has been nothing but problems. Everything seems fine until you sign the contract—then their true colors come out. Communication is poor, issues go unresolved, and there is zero oversight on the job.
Dickson promotes himself as having years of experience with Anthony & Sylvan and claims his company avoids their mistakes. Ironically, after dealing with him and his crew, I’d much rather go back to Anthony & Sylvan. At least with them, my biggest problem was permits. With Dickson, it has been a complete disaster.
Despite his sales pitch, Dickson was nothing more than a landscaper before pools—and it shows. Landscaping and pool construction are two very different worlds. He also claims to use “all his own guys,” but that isn’t true. They’re contracted workers who clearly don’t care about the quality of their work.
The problems were endless:
• Hot tub: Built three times. We—not their project manager—caught the fact that the tiled walls were wavy. Twice they tried to fix it by re-tiling over mistakes, even lowering the height of the tub to cover the flaws, before finally rebuilding.
• Sitting wall: Designed 8 inches too low by their so-called engineering department. Anyone sitting would have been under water. Again, we caught it, not their team.
• Coping: Installed incorrectly, with uneven measurements around the hot tub. This had to be redone as well.
In short, every major element had to be corrected—and only because we flagged the issues. Their project manager never did.
