Shady practice, stay away.

Shady practice, stay away.

Details: Premier Anesthesia provided services related to a surgery I had in Spring 2019. During pre-op, I verified that the attending anesthesiologist was in-network. After surgery, I received a bill for out-of-network services and was charged twice the amount for an unapproved assistant being in attendance. Premier Anesthesia's response was that I was high-risk for having "intermittent asthma" of which I have not been diagnosed or received treatment for since 1997.

My insurance provider negotiated an agreed-upon rate reduction that was still more than $1,000 higher than the original amount. I paid this amount in full and as agreed by February 2020. I never received another bill from Premier Anesthesia. Two months ago, I received a notice from a collection agency for an outstanding amount. I contacted Premier Anesthesia and they verified that the account was paid in full. I requested a confirmation letter and have not received one.

I disputed the balance with the collection agency by their deadline and the collection agency disagreed. The only contact provided by the collection agency was the medical center where the surgery was performed. I contacted the medical center and they responded that they cannot discuss the balance because they no longer contract services with Premier Anesthesia. Premier Anesthesia has been unresponsive since confirming that my account was paid in full. Stay away. They will surprise/balance bill every penny out of you!

Very unhappy with their service AND billing practices. They are the only provider at the local hospital where I happen to work, and had surgery there . They are out of network, and I received a fat copay bill. However, my anesthesia experience was also horrible- I was told I woke up early from the spinal, and I was screaming in pain. I remember trying to climb off the stretcher, I was in so much pain. I do not feel I should be billed for anything!!!!! It was a terrible experience- and I will not be recommending them to anyone. This never happened with the last anesthesia group that worked there.

Called me a second time in a single week at eight ...

Called me a second time in a single week at eight in the morning as a quote "courtesy" to remind me I had a bill from them. The first time your representative Laquisha called at 8:01am on Thursday September 26th she left a garbled rushed nine second message that was just barily decipherable; her damenor and tone were so unprofessional I thought it was a phishing racket. The second time you call on September 30th, at 8:03 on a Monday morning to remind me I had a bill. Again Laquisha, her tone so unprofessional, you work for a medical company not a hip-hop record store/label. It is harassment to start pestering someone before a bill is not even 30 days past due. Just because it is legal to do this doesnt mean you should take such hard tactics to collect your money. I have 90 days to pay before you can send it to collections but apparently that is even too long to wait for this company, they have pre-collections phone operators to let you know you have bills, who are ready to call your west coast phone lines from east coast operators. Considering your bill's letterhead is dated September 14th, the fact youre even calling me starting at twelve days out is lunacy. You've lost your minds, way to wake me up and make me feel subhuman at the head of a week on a monday morning. All over a sub seventh-five dollar bill. Wretched dollar eyed, non-human, souless company masquerading as if it is even human. Thanks for harassing me, and make no mistake it was harassment to call me like that. Now lets see of your representative here at the Richland office can get you to stop calling me as she indicated she could, I have little to no faith as your operators response to all of this was to suggest that a supervisor may call me. Le sigh I do not want any more calls from you, that is why i called after all to ask that calls stop. Gah this is why Americans dont answer the phone, companies like you. The one time i forget to airplane or turn my call volume down i have sharks, neigh savages, like you calling at 8:03 AM.

They are a billing office for Emory pain center at Jonh's creek. Back in January, their front office told me that Dr. David Stewart was in our network and precertified a procedure with our insurance. Now their billing departmet is telling me that the doctor was out of the network and that the front office should not have told me he was in and that I need to pay the bill in full. Isn't this a definition of fraud? -"wrongful or criminal deception intended to result in financial or personal gain." Need to mention that they didn't even bother filing an insurance claim because...wait for it... they didn't have the insurance information. Huh? How was the procedure precertified? Of course since they are out of our network, the insurance company is not paying anything anyway. On top of that, Premier Anesthesia was bought out on 2/15, so, since the procedure was before the buy out and the follow up appt was after, I am now dealing with two equally useless companies - same name different phone numbers. Just in case you think that they have become better "under new management"...nope, the second claim was not filed either. Why? You guessed it -they didn't have the insurance information.
Save yourself a lot of aggravation, time and money and go see a provider that won't try to scam you and then send you collection notices before they even bother to file an insurance claim.
