Mandatory helmet rule. Just have a place to sign next to were you pay to waive your right to sue. Can't board worth shiz with helmet on.
Also, most expensive place in CT. Not 25 bucks for a lift pass. 50, for 8 hours... Yeah.. Fix nonsense, an could be 5 star potential !

Disappointing trail conditions. Small 1 inch size rocks in various places on the groomed trail making it a hazard to your skis. Icy in many sections. (CT has had no snow) I should have rented to avoid damaging my skis. Nice staff. Lessons for beginners was disappointing. Too many learners using a small driveway size section. We had adult learners that were not happy with the quality. No lines for the two lifts to the top. Why not teach people on the bunny slope instead of that strip?

Bad bad experience. I called requesting information, they never told me that it could be sold out. Drove almost 2 hours for nothing, my little girl was devastated. I waited for almost 30 minutes for a hot dog, was expensive and awful. Staff that was supposed to give you information was very unknowlagable.

The "eggplant lasagna" dish was very mooshy and is advertised as gluten free on the menu (hence why it was mooshy because it wasn't breaded to be gluten free) yet it was served with regluar baguettes on the plate. Very confusing. Everything on the plate should be gluten free if your stating on your menu that dish is. You Can make someone sick if they are mislead to believe the bread is gluten free. Either drop the bread so the dish is actually gluten free. Or bread and fry the eggplant and don't call it gluten free

This resort has gone through a ton of change but it always seems to stay fun. Because I keep coming back year after year. Every occasion from watching my brother crash his Snowboard to flying down the slope on a tube myself. Power Ridge is always fun as long as they stay open.....But they manage to in the summer.

I went for a day of mountain biking in early September and had a ton of fun. I'm pretty new to the sport and found a couple of trails intimidating, but possible. We tried all of the trails, several seemed to still be under construction but still rideable. The concrete chute runs were interesting. Chairlift was slow, but provided a nice break. Was in a group that ranged from downhill bikes and full face helmets and pads to just hard tails with regular mountain biking helmets and no pads. I would recommend wearing pads. Had an excellent lunch in the lodge. Staff in the lodge and on the mountain were friendly and professional. I plan to go back and hope they keep improving the trails.

I went here after a big snow storm and had a great time. I tried all the trails and they were really fun. Plenty of jumps and a few features as well. Great time snowboarding. Staff was helpful and nice. Will definitely be coming back!

DO NOT GO HERE! Waited over an hour in line to rent skis and when I finally got to the front of the line was told they were no longer selling lift tickets. Asked to speak with a manager and they said I was out of luck. Horrible business horrible operation. Pathetic mountain. I will be tanking their ratings.

What a complete waste of time and money. Paid for 3 lift tickets on a Saturday night. Took 3 runs on the beginner hill and got thrown out for no helmet. There are no signs before your on the lift and nothing about there helmet rule online. I spent many nights and afternoons here years ago and loved it. After getting screwed for three usless lift passes with my son and his friend dont think I'll be going back anytime soon. What a terrible RIP off. If there's a way to give a negative rateing this is it. My son and I went to southington several weeks before and had an excellent time without helmets.....wish there was a way to give a zero star rating.

biggest waste of money ever. The conditions were terrible, either ice or slush. Trails groomed terribly. And it almost seems criminal to put people on the 40 year old ski lifts. They sound like they re falling apart and was honestly scared for my kids life. Don t ever bring a child on those lifts it s not safe. To top it all off there s a very angry bald guy running around barking orders at people, assuming he s a boss but just very unsettling. Also you ll never receive a refund if you book in advance so avoid that at all costs, learned that the hard way. If I could give negative stars I would. Worst ski resort in New England and probably the country. Disgusting

Very rude customer service. I asked them an innocent question about whether tickets are refundable due to icy conditions from rain that same day. Other ski resorts allow these sort of refunds so I wanted to double check. They responded with If you are worried about conditions during rainy weather I highly suggest that you don t purchase a ticket for those dates. Umm, a simple no, unfortunately we don t honor refunds for those reasons. Sorry would have more appropriate. They not only didn t answer my question, they lectured me. I know how to account for uncertainty in my plans, no need to give unsolicited advice about not buying tickets at all

Went for the downhill park, trails that we went on we're fun although quite a few of then were closed. Ride up is 12 minutes and ride down is five max. Jump park is a lot of fun and great for practicing.

Good little bike park. A downhill bike is a bit overkill. I enjoyed the trails much more on my enduro. They should keep putting work into the bike park since it probably wont snow in CT much in the years to come.

This park could easily become a 5 star park within a year if they keep building they way they've been going it only took a half day or riding to ride everything the lift is slow but there's never a line which is unfortunate because this place got a bad rap i think because when they opened they didn't have many trails built. Overall I had a good time and will probably be back more often than I can afford

I really tried...I scheduled 6 lessons as demanded and it was a disaster. 3 times nobody was there to teach my child. after driving 45 min each way to get there it was not a good experience. One day I brought both my kids and the lifts never turned on bc it was too cold. I wasnt offered my money back when these things happened and nobody was there to even tell me nobody was comming!! Teachers were just no shows 3x!! Worse program ever. My child is 4 and it was hard enough getting him there and into it. Terrible terrible service.

They do the best they can with what they ve got, which isn t much. But, it's close by and the staff is very friendly. If the weather can stay cold, they can get some good base going for themselves.

Had a blast tubing today with the family (1-3pm). Bought the passes online and they scanned my tickets from my phone there. You can print them out at home also. Not too crowded and not much of a wait at the top. They have helmets there if you don't want to bring your own.

It s Middlefield, so don t expect luxury, but Powder Ridge is the best place ( and only place) to ski/ride in the area. Not much staff but that s OK as long as you are smart and know how a ski mountain works. Small but fun. Lifts are slow, although quite honestly it s not a big deal. It s also a nice place to stop if you need to rent equipment. Never crowded. Come here unless you are crazy and expect the staff to wait on you hand and foot and are EXTREMELY picky. Overall I love it here.
