Potrero Physical Therapy Review

Potrero Physical Therapy was amazing! The area was clean and everyone was really nice and helpful. I worked with Isaac when rehabbing my broken foot. He was very considerate and I would highly recommend him to anyone looking for a physical therapist. He gave me a printed sheet of detailed exercises to do at home that was very clear about how often and how many repetitions etc.

I had pain from a torn rotator cuff, and after several weeks, this pain decreased significantly, eliminating my need for pain meds. I enjoyed working with Isaac a lot. He always makes sessions engaging, and he is very interested in his work and the results it brings. When it was necessary to work with a different therapist, the exercises were always clearly communicated from Isaac to the other therapist. The other therapists seemed equally engaged with their clients. I strongly recommend Potrero Physical therapy.

I've been treated by Lance and his Team a few times and they are the best! They really know what they are doing and care about your health. The facility is top notch and always clean. They have mended me up and got me back on my feet a couple times. They have two locations in town which makes it easy to get to and fit in my busy schedule.

Great place for PT. Isaac rocks as does the staff. Easy-ish parking. Fabulous facility. Isaac helped me a lot. Great hands-on care, as well as giving me exercises and stretches to do at home. Hip healed a lot. Highly recommend.

Isaac was super friendly and responsive to my needs. He gave me detailed exercises to work on at home while also carefully monitoring my progress in my weekly sessions. I've been through two shoulder surgeries and rehabbed a bad lower back with the help of the awesome staff of Potrero PT. They are lifesavers, in every sense of the word.

Let's start with Lupe, the office manager who is an expert at dealing with the intricacies of health insurance providers. Lupe managed my expectations excellently from the onset, and has continued to be my advocate in working with my insurer to ensure I receive my benefits.

Now on to the actual therapists, who are the heart and soul of Potrero PT. I've been working with Potrero PT since February of 2015, and I've worked with five of the therapists there, including Lance the owner.

I'm currently working with Katty, who is excellent. Katty has helped guide me through my second shoulder surgery with sound knowledge and - when my sore and tired body needed it - a delicate touch. She works with my surgeon to develop protocols for rehabilitation, and constantly monitors progress to make sure I'm not pushing myself too hard or re-injuring myself.

If I could afford it, I'd go to Potrero PT every day of the week. They are excellent, and have helped save my body (and therefore my sanity) more than once.

I received PT for about 8 months after my ACL repair last year. Wonderful experience! All the staff were very welcoming and friendly. Shout out to Issac who was really attentive to my goals and helped me work towards them each week. He came up with new exercises and ways for me to practice my "return to sports" exercises- definitely went above and beyond with the creativity! The front desk staff are also super helpful with scheduling- they always call the day before to remind you of your appointment. They would even call me if there was a cancellation for a time they knew I was wanting so I could change my appointment- extra points! The facility was always clean and the equipment they have is new and up to date. They even got TRX straps during my time there, which was great to be able to use! The assistants that help you continue through exercises after your appointment time are also wonderful, happy to check in with your PT and make sure they're doing things correctly. Overall really great experience and would highly recommend to any friends/family!

Potrero Physical Therapy was the perfect place to help me get back to my high level of activity following ACL surgery. Kyle and team were extremely helpful and supportive, and I couldn't have chose a better place in the city. The space is well equipped and large for the city, and was geared towards all client recoveries. Can't emphasize enough how this was the perfect choice to get me back to sport like activities and exercise!

I saw Katty from Potrero Physical Therapy for close to a year when I was dealing with ongoing back and neck issues. She was great! Katty was always super attentive, answered all of my questions and always presented me with options on how to tackle my ailments during my sessions (stretching, massage, cupping, exercises, etc.). She also always gave me a number of exercises to work on at home. I couldn't recommend her more!

I went to them for rehab from ACL surgery. I struggled with the discipline of consistently doing my exercises outside of the clinic.They varied up my exercises and routine and kept me engaged and moving forward. True professionals, who got me back on my feet ahead of schedule!

I injured a muscle near my knee and was in pain, limping, and scared it wouldn't heal. Daria was helpful, methodical, and sympathetic -- and the pool therapy with Lance was also excellent. It took a while, but I slowly got better, and I'm so grateful. I absolutely recommend these folks.

I have a rare syndrome called guillian barre. I called around to half a dozen physical therapy places and nobody knew what Guillian Barre was and they did not want to take me because they didn t know what it was even after I explained it to him. Then Called Potrero physical therapy and talk to Lupe and she said that she would call me back and let me know what s up if anybody knew about it. One of the physical therapist named Katty Csete said that she had heard of Gillian Barre. Lupe then told me to come in for physical therapy I met Katty and she explained to me that she went on the web and found out as much information she could about my situation. I have been going Potrero physical therapy for months now. I have improved immensely due to Katty professional guidance. I told my doctor James Hansen about her he told me it was crucial that I keep the physical therapy going specially with somebody that knew what it was and was willing to help. Katty it s quite an asset to Potrero physical therapy.

It's so nice to have an excellent physical therapy office in Potrero. The staff is warm and the therapists are trained well enough to treat just about anything. I have visited Potrero PT with back and knee problems and had great success.

Lance and his the Potrero PT team coming highly recommended by the Bay Area medical community. I have a few doctors in my family, at UCSF, PAMF and Marin General. Even since moving to Marin I've continued to use Potrero Physical Therapy. They get me the best results, make dealing with my insurance company totally painless, and make the whole process enjoyable. I look forward to seeing them and have the utmost confidence in their team.

Potrero PT is a fabulous facility. But that's not the only reason you should go there. Of course they have great equipment - but it's the therapists and staff who treat you with kindness, respect, and (most importantly) expertise that makes this facility the best. Daria Ivan has been my therapist through several treatments and she has always provided me with treatments that have, in every instance, helped greatly in my recovery or even successfully eliminated my issues. If you are looking for a Physical Therapy team and facility that really gets results, Potrero PT is the place.

Nice, large, relaxing therapy room with reasonably good public transportation options. Isaac was fun to work with and helped me get back into good shape. Would go back if the need arises.

I went to Potrero PT for rehabilitation after knee surgery and had a great experience. The regimen they prescribed got me back to being active in way less time than I would have though possible. Daria and the staff there are awesome.

Lance is an athlete and waterman, so he understands the goal to get healthy quickly and properly. Really takes the time to explain so you know exactly how hard or not to push in your exercises, and how to be in tune with your own body and recovery. Great staff who are all very knowledgeable too, so you always feel you are in good hands. Highly recommend for anyone who has had an injury and wants to stay active and at their optimal performance level.

My whole family has sought the help of Lance and his team at Potrero Physical Therapy at one point or another- we all live life intensely and get hurt a bit too often. His team is courteous, professional and a pleasure to work with, even when it hurts. I highly recommend PPT!

Overall great experience. The physical therapists are great -- I worked with Daria. She was very detail-oriented and worked closely with me after my ACL reconstruction (knee) surgery, so I could make my milestones and achieve my goals such as hiking, swimming, etc. Daria helped me get stronger and worked with my specific issues. The physical space is also very nice -- large, clean and airy.

I worked with Daria here this summer after having ACL surgery. She was incredibly helpful and I feel like I progressed a lot in those 3 months. I get injured a lot and this is honestly my favorite pt place I've been to. Everyone here is super kind and knowledgable and the space itself is really nice.

I very much enjoyed working (and talking) with Isacc last year to regain the range of motion in my left shoulder after injuring it with "aggressive" garden work. I had had PT a couple of years earlier with another outfit and did not like the experience of working in isolation in small rooms. It was drudgery.

With PPT you are in a very open environment where all the equipment is visible and you get to see what others are doing. There is so much open space that Isaac and I could play catch with tennis balls. I recommend PPT and Isaac highly. Parking in the immediate area is not an issue.

I had ACL replacement knee surgery by the wonderful Dr. Akizuki. His office recommended several PT resources, one of which was Potrero PT. I've been seen Daria at Potrero PT for 12 months. She has a wonderful "bedside" manner: warm, understanding, and empathetic to my rehab style and needs.

The staff of assistants there are also friendly, energetic, and supportive. Early on in my rehab, I hit a wall with building back my quad and Lance suggested the water rehab program in an offsite pool with a group of fellow rehabbers. After only a handful of pool sessions, I got past the hurdle. Now that I've celebrated my anniversary with Potrero PT, Daria's handed me my back-to-running program, which I'm following religiously thrice weekly, in addition to Barry's Bootcamp for some cardio activity I regard as "PT Xtreme."

These guys are wonderful healers and I'm grateful for everything they've done for me this past year. Highly recommended if you're looking for thorough and wholesome rehabilitation for your specific needs.

Went here for help with chronic shoulder pain. I was assigned Meredith as my therapist and she was amazing from day one. She is extremely knowledgeable and competent and also just a lot of fun and very easy to talk to which made the appointments less of a chore and more of a "joint" mission to get me better. In the end I left with significantly less pain and much more mobility. It's been a few weeks since we concluded therapy and I really don't even notice or think about shoulder pain, where before it was an everyday nagging nuisance. If I need PT again I will definitely come back here and hopefully I get Meredith again. As a matter of fact I think my knee is starting to hurt : )
