Never Disappoints! I ve been coming here since the city reopened and the vibe reminds me of NYC in the summer. The food is also really good and perfect for sharing. Good service combined with good food. Shout out to Tarvn, the manager, for helping us plan my friends bday there. Perfect place for a small get together.

Great place to catch up with some friends or go on a date night. The servers are very friendly and take the time to explain the drinks and food options. We had a longer wait time than expected to be seated but the hostess offered us a free drink to compensate! Since this place is popular you can expect to wait a bit during peak hours, but the food, drinks, and overall experience is worth it. Pictured below is the bruschetta board

We are regulars here. They have a great happy hour deal on a 'pitcher' (2 beers) for $5 and really delicious sandwiches and pretty much everything on their menu is yummy and priced fairly. Had really great service today with the manager. We were very happy with our experience definitely will come back again soon. Thank you so much Postinos!

Trendy and fun wine bar with a selection of great bruschetta and seasonal flavors. They have a happy hour where wine and beer is only $5 until 5pm. This place is also dog friendly on the patio and had a welcoming atmosphere with sociable style. I would recommend this to anyone looking for a casual upscale spot in the heights. We will return.

Awesome local hangout. $5 glasses of wine and pitchers of beer every day, from opening until 5pm. Four huge and amazing bruschetta (take your pick of like 10 or 12) for $15. Staff super knowledgeable about the wines. I will definitely be back!

Postino is a great spot to hangout and relax with friends. Always having wine specials and their shareable plates are all great. Everybody recommends their bruschetta plate because they are amazing. Definitely recommend the Barratt, bacon and tomato one. Great selection of wines and beers. Their staff is always very friendly and helpful. Go to the farmers market across the street and then a bite to eat here

I love this restaurant! The food here is great and they have a lot of options. This was my second visit to this location and I prefer this location over the first one because it is a lot bigger. Parking may be an issue for some because there s street parking and I didn t see a lot, but the time I went was mid day and it wasn t busy. The best special they have is a bottle of wine and a board of bruschetta for $25 every Monday and Tuesday after 8 PM.

Such a nice place. wine list is on point, Food is great, service is above average and the patio is chill. I like to go with my boyfriend once in a while, we always order a bottle of wine and some bruschetta.

I've eaten here dozens of times now - brunch mostly. The Morning Staple is my favorite on the menu: a perfectly sized breakfast. Paired with one of their $5 pitchers of beer or glass of wine, it makes a great lunch. The nine iron or a bruchetta board are also great choices. The place can get crowded on holidays or during rush, but isn't too loud, and I've never had a slow service.

First the food was very good. The Sunday brunch menu was limited. The place was crowded so parking was limited. We were seated quickly. Service was o.k.. BUT, the manager was quick to come to our table to answer a menu question and "make things right" even though we had a simple question (it was 'Should the fritters have a filling?'). I liked the ambiance and the food!

Food was delicious, love the ambience but the manager was very mean when we suggested that there was little bread in the butcher board and they brought us the check without asking for it. Not sure if we will try it again.

Postino Heights is amazing!!! I went there with a group of friends right around 8 on Tuesday for their bruschetta/wine bottle special: a whole bottle of ANY wine as well as four bruschettas, for only $25! Several of my friends ordered their own, but I shared with a friend. It was AWESOME. We had the stagedive pinot noir, which was wonderful. I'm vegetarian and there are tons of veggie bruschettas. The fig/apple/brie, mozzarella/tomato/basil, spicy-sweet pepper and goat cheese, and warm artichoke spread are all DELICIOUS. The artichoke in particular is amazing. This is such an awesome deal. Also, they will give you a cork if you can't finish your whole bottle (which I imagine many people might not be able to). I will definitely be back!!!

Seldom do I pause to air my compliments of a bartender in the form of a publicly available review but, Calvin s service and swagger warranted nothing less. From the moment I sat down I was attentively cared for and was provided with meaningful conversation and witty comments making my dinning experience phenomenal. Will be back soon for the same.

I always love postino. The bruschetta board is absolutely the way to go, and they have a great deal on pitchers of beer for their happy hour. One of my favorite new(ish) restaurants in the heights.

Just visited Postino today around 1pm. This place is decorated really nice, a place to have lunch with friends and definitely a dinner date. They have a really great happy hour $5 dollar glasses of wine and $5 dollars for a 32oz pitcher of beer, that s enough to make me want to come everyday as it is. We ordered the bruschetta board with a great variety from artichoke, to salmon. The boards did not disappoint at all!! The reason for the 4 stars is our soup and sandwich combo was very pedestrian, no real flavor or anything special. Also the service was definitely friendly but the entire second half of our meal it was definitely non attentive and just absent for long periods. I have definitely seen the service piece mentioned in multiple reviews. This isn t dramatized, the last thing to make this place great is consistent service.

On the one hand, Postino has a great menu and an excellent vibe. The BRUSCHETTA boards are amazing and give you a wide variety of tastes to pick and choose from. This is a great place for a casual first date or for a friendly getaway. The wine selection is also pretty good. The problem is the service. We had a wait person who simply seemed to want to avoid our table. She not only always looked the other way when passing our table but she actively avoided looking at us even when walking directly toward me. Not only did she not notice my waive, she didn't notice when I stood up and waived, and she even ignored me when I said "mam" when she was less then five feet away. It took a very loud "MAM" that the entire patio heard to attract her attention. My friend asked for a tea refill (the glass had been empty for quite a while) She said okay and was gone for quite a while. When she returned she had something for another table but no tea. At this point, my friend got up, went inside to the server station and poured his own. This of course got the attention of the manager and he got us a new server who did a decent job. however, in the confusion that followed multiple glasses of tea arrived at the table. Then, at the end of the meal, they tried to bill us for the extra tea. (I had water). all the tea, at that point, should have been free and it was after we complained about it. I often say that everyone makes mistakes, what is important is how you fix them. I get the feeling the manager tried but it seems the service team just isn't well trained and made multiple mistakes that day.

This place is amazing. The service is excellent. A waiter is not constantly checking in. You re told the concept: any waiter or waitress can assist. They are very hands off, but quite attentive to what you request. The cheese board and the wine selections are outstanding. There s no more affordable place for excellent food and drink during happy hour. Amazing experiences each time I ve walked in. On one occasion because the actual wait time exceed what we were told by 10 minutes the manager with no prompt from my party gave an appetizer on the House. Management clearly gets it. And management engages customers in conversation and want to make the experience pleasant!

I always know what to expect. Good service, menu is simple and straight forward. Happy hour is excellent but good luck getting a table. Bruchetta board is a great way to start with 4 different types of bruchetta per order. Wine selection is good to pair with whatever you eat!

Me neighbor invited to try this restaurant. He is the manager here and he mentioned all the specials they have here. Honestly, he was right, the atmosphere, the service, the food, the wine, everything was great. My friend is the manager and he is doing a great job. Thanks for your recommendation Nick.

New post for Healthy Eats on Houston Streets and this week I'm obsessing over @postinowinecafe's eclectic collection of bruschetta.
-
Made with locally sourced produced, these fresh bites are offered in a delicious array of spreads in combinations of meats, cheeses, and fruits atop slabs of chewy sourdough bread.

Postino shines on the corner of The Heights mercantile center and is a fantastic spot for brunch on a nice day. I'm especially excited for this since up until now, I've had to drive all the way to my favorite restaurant, The Grove on Bee Cave Road just outside of Austin, to indulge in my favorite antipasti. Similar to Postino, The Grove proudly offers over 10 different combinations of bruschetta. Check out the extensive list Postino offers below!

Was at Il Postino on Friday 11/15/19. I am finally convinced that owners write their own reviews or the people of Houston have no clue about food.
First it is not a restaurant. They serve open ciabatta cut in small pieces with cheap cold cuts and olive oil and called it a menu. And expect to pay $100 minimum for a couple of these clueless junk. I am convinced the chef is 8 years old the most.. my suggestion: change the name to IL IMPOSTERS. Question for the artisan of this gem, Have you ever been to Italy ot just to a good restaurant in NY little Italy?
