Have only been here one day but a very good hotel. Several choices for meals and the pool and hot tub looks great. Staff very friendly. You can walk to Fisherman's Wharf. Also a nearby beach lovely and sandy.

The hotel has been updated. Plantation shutters in our room. Room is clean, bathroom is nicely updated with shower ONLY. Couch in room is cute, but hard as a rock. Table is super small and flimsy. Beds are comfy. Plenty of pillows. Weird lamp. Centrally located. We DID have air conditioning, so unsure why other rooms would not have air? Pool is heated and nice. Jacuzzi is large. Smoke chairs, soft towels.
Amazing location close to the Wharf, bars, restaurants, and shops. Clean rooms and excellent, attentive staff.

Very per friendly and ideal location . Everything is bikable or walkable or you can use the free shuttle. There is also an Amtrak stop nearby
Beautiful huge hotel, Spacious & Clean Rooms, Perfect Location, 2 Mins walk to the bay & fisherman's wharf, Rent a cycle just around the corner of the hotel, Many Coffee Shops and Restaurants around, Amazing Breakfast, & a lovely Bar inside the hotel.
Everything has been great. So much of Monterey is within walking distance. They take good care of their guests here.
Check in staff was inattentive, they refused to valet my pickup so I had to park in a lot at the warf. Walls were super thin, we could hear our neighbors on both sides. Needless to say, I will be calling Concur to drop them from our list of where employees can stay.

A pet friendly hotel that is clean and accommodating. My dog got a biscuit on the way in and we were able to request a dog bowl and bed. Just wish there were more grassy areas for the dog to use the bathroom and that the pet-friendly rooms were vinyl wood floors. They seem very welcoming to well-behaved dogs and attentive pet owners. We'll be back!

The location is great, but there is lots of construction. Walking distance to lots of stuff.
This is an amazing hotel for an amazing price. The only reason they didn't get fix stars was the construction.
Parking fee is $20/day even though you stay in here.

Our stay was wonderful, the staff was helpful and nice. The chocolate chips cookies were warm and delious! Breakfast was delious Plu was great server to us very cool. Defently coming back.
Room was great but parking is kind of a pain. Had to park and walk down a flight of stairs but to get back you have to walk further down the street to get to any upper level.

Nice hotel BUT do not bring your dogs....can not enjoy the pool or other amenities due not allowed to leave dogs for short period of time. Pet friendly.....hmmmm...no. No dogs allowed in pool area or any other area. This place is for humans only. Excellent for people use only. Very pricy....

Visited some friends staying in the hotel. plenty of parking and affordable lot. We went to the brunch inside the hotel. A little higher priced then a standard buffet but it's to be expected in a tourist area. Food was good, staff was kind, no complaints.

The rooms are really nice, service is very good, prices are reasonable for the quality of hotel that they're aiming to be. My biggest gripe: it's 2017 and they charge for wifi.

Newly remodeled. Great place for a convention. Near Fisherman's Wharf and walkable via a paved scenic public trail to Cannery Row where the Monterey Aquarium is located. Located also in an area of historic buildings converted to museums.

I have never stayed. But it looks to be a very nice hotel. They have a very nice clean restroom in the lobby.

If I could give it 0 stars, I would. They put me in a room right next to a busy road, and the windows are paper thin. They shut the hot water off at night and didn't tell me in advance. Staff told me the front desk should've told me. You think? I would never stay here again.

Location is perfect. Rooms are spacious and clean. Hotel is located in a central area close to Cannery Row and directly in front of the Fisherman's Wharf. The staff are very friendly and welcoming. Love the warm cookie at check in.

Came here for a company event and enjoyed my stay very much. Cozy room and bed, located near some good shopping as well as plenty of shops and tourist options at the hotel itself.
A very noisy hotel, both from the roads outside and thin walls inside. The windows are poorly sound proofed, meaning highway traffic is very evident. Ear plugs are a necessity.
Went to rest after 5k run. Nice lobby and had trees inside.
Spent the day at the spa. The spa is beautiful and the staff is great. Sauna, wet room, massage rooms were all comfortable and clean. The only negative is that the pool is shared with the hotel, meaning your relaxing day is filled with the sound of kids playing all around you. Otherwise, it was a great spa experience.
Loved the hotel and staff.. I only had a problem with the tv. And really who goes on vacation and complains about the tv.. It would have been nice to change the input somehow so i could use my Netflix or hook my phone to it.. but it doesn't matter.. great place.. loved it..
We stayed here on our honeymoon 9 years ago and every year after on our anniversary since. The location and accommodations make for a great Monterey trip everytime.

I've been here many times; today we visited the art gallery with out-of-town guests, who enjoyed it more than the artists' collective across the street from Monterey Plaza Hotel.
Unbeatable location in Monterey. Parking is adjacent (but not included. $20 per day). Just a short walk to the water or downtown restaurants. Nice rooms...but ask for one with a view.
Very large and comfortable room, but the check-in time was very late. The spa was also somewhat of a disappointment because it was outside of the hotel and did not offer any included services with the room.

AMAZING staff!!! Everyone is so nice and they have great suggestions for nearby restaurants and local fun. Gabbi was great! Our car battery died and he game out to jump our car and helped us out. LOVE THIS HOTEL. Rooms were comfy and I slept great. Definitely will be coming back

I wasn't at the hotel itself, but visiting my parents for the Fourth. I have been in the hotel before and it is very nice. Luxurious, great service and food. Plenty of activities to do close to the hotel as well
Conveniently located downtown near all restaurants and shops on Alvarado st. The exterior and interior (lobby + restaurant) have been renovated and is so gorgeously done. They recently added fire pits and vertical gardens outside and a Peetes coffee 3 days ago. If you dont like pets there's a starbucks across the street. The rooms are basic nautical inspired. I think they could use a makeover. The outdoor pool is on 2nd or 3rd floor next to a busy street so a bit noisy
