It took so long to make an appointment. They had me tell them what our problems were and then I had to wait a week for someone to decide they wanted us and call us back. That person's schedule didn't work with mine at all, so I got thrown back in the queue for another week.
The waiting room is not kid-friendly, which is surprising since they supposedly offer counseling for children. There is a tv very high up, and with how close the chairs are, it is difficult to watch it. The only show that ever played was inappropriate cartoons that I feel are for older kids or adults. The room is full of breakable decorations and there is a water cooler in the corner (like Culligan) that kids naturally want to mess with. It was a nightmare trying to keep my younger kids from destroying things while their sibling was at his appointment. There is a room full of toys, but because it's just for kids receiving counseling we weren't allowed in.
Also, the "counseling" consisted of the counselor playing a board game with my son every visit and nothing seemed to improve.
The whole situation was so stressful at a time when we really needed help. It left me exhausted and jaded about the effectiveness of counseling anywhere else either.
