The Port Jefferson Free Library offers many high quality adult programs. The Port Jefferson Free Library has links to many online services. Museum pass is good, you should take advantage of it. We were able to see Intrepid Museum in NYC and without waiting in the line to get in. The library is a quiet place like every other library. Many books to read and good connection with other libraries.
I love this library. Great selection of books. And they have brand new video games for free rental almost immediately. The staff is also amazing.

I have been living in the Port Jeff area for about 5 years, and I can't recommend this library highly enough. I am definitely a regular at the library, probably go there about 2 days a week, and the staff is extremely friendly and helpful. Sue, the manager for circulation, always accommodates any requests for material I ask for from other Suffolk County libraries. It is wonderful to have a community library that feels like my second home. Thank you all at the library for always making my day!

Eileen the lady at the front desk checkout was hostile and rude. She tried scolding me & lecturing me about a library checkout policy. I was in keeping with the checkout policy and she was wrong. I have never had a problem with anyone else here but this has left a bad taste in my mouth so much so that I am debating ever going back. Sickened over how I was treated and that a staff member thinks it s acceptable to embarrass and lecture someone. This is a PUBLIC library... libraries are for the PEOPLE... NOT for people to be bullied or treated in a hostile manner at checkout
