Podium Sports Review

I highly recommend Podium Sports. I had my boots punched in 4 different areas and new foot beds made to improve the fit of my ski boots. I worked with 3 different guys: John, Paul, and Andrew. They all were patient and thorough with me to ensure I received the perfect fit. I had to come back several times to get the perfect fit and never did anyone have a bad attitude with me. They all worked diligently with me and now I can say I own the best fitting boot that I have ever owned and could not be happier!

Most shops look confused when I ask for specific angles on my edges. These guys asked ME! Same day turn around on a Sunday. My new go to shop!

Save your money. Bad service. Expensive prices. Horrible vibes.

Brought in a pair of skis after being poorly tuned by another shop. Got expert advice and two core shots miraculously repaired. After an awesome early season with sneaky rocks, needed a midseason tune. Came in on the night of the super moon, close to closing, greeted with a smile. Alas two more core shots to be repaired, no doubt they ll be as good as new when I pick them up.

Very friendly and great equipment. We stay in Breck but travel to Podium in Frisco for our rental gear. They set me up nice for the mountain conditions.

Mixed feelings, but no complaints. We went here for ski boots for my son. He has a really difficult pair of feet to fit, so I cannot really complain. They tried to fit him but ended up selling us what turned out to be the same boots he already had, so they wouldn't fit any better. I guess we could have realized it then, but didnt until we got back home and saw them side by side. Other places have worked a little more to make things fit, but I guess these were the best they had. We noticed before he wore them, and Podium were gracious enough to refund them, although they didn't really have too. I will return here next time I am in the market for ski equipment.

Wow! Those skis were fast! Jared, a former US Ski Team Tech, tuned my 10 year old son's skis before his big race today. Not only did he beat everyone in his age group by at least a second and a half, but he took 3rd among all the age groups today - he was within .17 seconds of the 17 year who took first. Have no doubt, Jared and the team know what they are doing. And they are super friendly and not afraid to share their hard won knowledge with their customers. I'll never go anywhere else!

Unbelievable bikes! Rent the best mountain bike you can get and take it down the Vail lift. Black Diamond if you can hack it! Exceeded all expectations you can have! Guys are fast, friendly and fair at podium! Thx

They were out of paddles for sale and were kind enough to let us rent one for $10 for our stand up paddle board.

This place is a horrible place to shop. They are racist and I will never spend a penny here!

This place is Racist they don t like Mexicans and like to tell people to go back to Mexico over minor inconveniences would never come back to this mediocre place to begin with. It s funny how foreign anyone Hispanic can be at this place even though Colorado is a diverse place the people here need to wake up and get over themselves not every Hispanic needs to go back to Mexico!!

Expert ski/snowboard tunes at reasonable prices. They also have an amazing sale on ski equipment every July 4th weekend.

If you value your safety and health, I recommend that you avoid using any equipment they touched.

Brought two sets of road bikes. I wanted to add gears so I can climb more easily. We discussed what which crank set and rear cassette they would put. When I came to pick up the bike it turned out that they made a mistake on the information the gave me and a cassette with the big rings the said, does not exist. The chose not to inform me and installed another cassette that provided no additional gears. Just a change from 9 to 10 gear with the lowest gear the same as before the $600 I paid. When I got home and took the bike for a ride both the front and rear derailleurs were completely of tune with the chain flying off on every change on the front gear. Both side handle tape caps fell and the taping job was amateurish. After 4 trips to the shop my front derailleur is still off. The owner's attitude was horrible saying that they would not help me since "you already formed an opinion"

The second bike I brought with a a left shifter that did not work. I asked to get a quote for a new shifter. They told me it just needs a tune. After charging me for a tune up, the bike was returned with the original problem and the additional rear derailleur now out of tune.

subsequently I went to another mechanic. Upon taking a glance at my bike he noted that the front derailleur and shifter are incompatible with the narrower chain and would never work right. It looks like the Podium mechanic did not know of this or just tried to save money on my account.

A more elaborate inspection revealed that the rear shifter was not mounted correctly and essential parts were omitted.

Podium Sports is the place for SUP rentals! Better prices than the other rental places in the area. Equipment was great! Very friendly staff! Thanks Paul!

Small bike shop. Not on Main St but close. They didn't have the tire I needed but sent me to another shop down the street.

Thanks for taking excellent care of me today. Friendly, efficient, prompt, and reasonable repair service. Busy weekend but the team threw my bike up on the stand and had me back to vacation in about 20 minutes. I'll be back

So grateful for their help with a quick tube replacement. They were quick, friendly, and gracious. The world needs more bike shops like this.

Podium Sports was great! We used them last year to base grind a pair of skis while we were out there and loved the service we got. We arranged to ship our skis out a week before we were to arrive for skiing at Copper. They waxed and tuned 6 pairs and had them ready for us when we arrived.

George helped my friend Rob out by finding a used crank arm and installing it. Very knowledgable & friendly. Reasonable with repair pricing. Rob was back cycling in 15mins.

Great place to rent bikes in Frisco, Co. Very friendly and accommodating. Helpful information on bikes and what to do on them in the area. We rented four bikes for multiple days. Times were flexible (very nice with two teens). Prices were fair and reasonable. Service was excellent. They set us up, taught us what we needed to know and got us on our way. Great fun. If you want to rent bikes in Frisco, I recommend giving Podium Sports a try. Just east of 7th Ave and South of Main, behind Abby s coffee shop.

Jared, Matt and team are the best of the best in ski tuning. My sons race ski bindings were incorrectly mounted by the seller, nearly piercing the base. We went to numerous shops in Summit County seeking help and thankfully we were pointed to Podium Sports. Not only did the Podium team do amazing work, restoring the skis to new/perfect condition, but they did so in a matter of hours AND were excellent on pricing. The look of joy on my sons face was certainly worth it and their work product was amazing. I HIGHLY recommend Podium Sports for you race tuning and specialty ski maintenance needs.

The only place I go for ski boot work. The people that work there are the best in the state, and experts in what they do.

Stopped by today to see about getting my family s bikes tuned up. Great service, bikes running like new, reasonably priced. Wife and kids thrilled with how their bikes are operating.

Wow! Great service. I brought my mtn bike in bc it was creaking a lot. I've been living with it for a year Because it was hard to tell where exactly it was coming from. Took it to Christy Sports in frisco first and they just blew me off. Told me it was normal and I should just live with it. I decided to take it to podium for a second opinion. Glad I did! The guy at podium sports fixed it in less than two minutes. Thank you! Now my bike rides so quiet. I'll be coming back here for all my bike service needs in the future. Great summit county bike shop.
