For several years my wife and myself look forward to Plays In The Park. They always have great plays to watch. This year we were able to see THE ADAMS FAMILY. We loved it very much. I know next year they will have more great plays to see.

I rarely give five stars, but you really can't go wrong at PITP. Even if the weather isn't great and you get there late and you're sitting a little further back, it's still a bargain. If, like Evita this past Saturday, the singing, acting and staging are top notch, it's a wonderful evening. If you have never been there, it might take you one or two visits to find your preferred routine -- for us, we allow time for traffic (on weekdays), bring food and drinks, park near picnic tables, get there ~90+ minutes early to buy tickets and set up our lawn chairs, walk back out for a picnic dinner, then back in to watch the show. It is outdoors, so if you want 70 degrees and A/C, then stick to the movie theater. Otherwise, it's something you can do and enjoy year after year.

It doesn't get better then being outdoors watching a very high quality production at Plays-In-The-Park. It's an essential part of the summer. Tickets are $7 for adults and children under $3 are free. Bring your own lawn chair. If you go early, you can place your chairs down to get a good spot. Then go out to eat and come back for showtime.

I've been to see four plays here, all of which have been phenomenal. The adult tickets are only $7 each, making the awesome night well worth it. The box office opens at 5:30, I recommend getting there an hour or two early to secure your place on line and then going to eat at the Cheesecake Factory (a five minute walk) or Sushi Palace (15 minute drive) since the show starts at 8 PM.
