One of my favourite theatre venues. Small and very comfortable with great acoustics. Plenty of interesting events throughout the year. Excellent theatre bar where acts often interact with the audience in the breaks.

The Playhouse Theatre is a beautiful little venue. It seats about 200. It has good size bar area with a well stocked bar.
They have had professional touring shows, some of Britain's best stand up comics as well as some of the best amateur productions in the Southeast. The resident Lindley Players frequently win awards for the shows they perform there.

Delightful theatre . Just seen a production of (Immaculate). Good atmospheric theatre with an excellent view of the stage. A very good bar. Interesting entertainment throughout the year in the charming coastal town of Whitstable. Will be going again. Next play(The merchant of Venice.). Looks interesting. Convenient parking behind the theatre in Middle Wall car park.

Great small theatre both to visit and to perform in. The Lindley Players run this theatre and put on good quality theatre productions. Outside groups also perform and there are one-off shows including NT live screenings. Masses of character includes substantial backstage area and large bar.

First visit, more to come I'm sure.

A lovely building run by the Lindley Players. It has a good range of plays and entertainment on offer throughout the year with productions by Wiley Wolf, Theatrecraft and the Lindley Players and many more groups. There are shows for everyone. I've just seen a great production of Sweeny Todd and am looking forward to seeing an Alan Akbourne play and a farce later in the year.
Very good value for money and the FOH are great too.

Very nice little theatre. Went there for a Panto with the kids and had great time. Close to the Peter Cushing Wetherspoons so we had a chance for a few pints and some chicken wings before the show and then into the small intimate venue where the players were excellent.
We saw sleeping beauty which is kind of one of the duller fairytales but the characters made it very entertaining and the kids loved it.
Make sure you order your interval drinks at the bar before the show starts and you can't go wrong. Reasonable prices, intimate venue and great local players.

Went to see the opening night of 'Snake in the Grass'. It was absolutely fantastic. Better than some shows we have seen at the Marlowe. Very impressed, very funny and a little scary. All three actors should be sooooo proud of themselves. Well dine. Also the bar was very friendly and good prices. Thanks for a brilliant evening. John and Julie.

The woman who cooked her husband

As good as it gets. laugh until you can't breathe

I went to see " the woman who cooked her husband" last evening. It is the funniest thing I have seen in a long long time. The acting was superb . The content hilarious. The audience collapsed in uncontrollable laughter from the start to the finish. It was hysterical. Worthy of being in the West End. I am always impressed with everything that The Lindley Players produce. Well done. A real tonic. Thank you for an absolutely superb evening.
