Lovely staff indoors
Sadly the two staff in the yard singled me out as a mild aged female to be rude to. The first was irritated and short with me, telling me it wasn t his job to work out how much wood I needed. I then told him exactly how many meters in total I required, after being served only when I began to take the wood out myself. The second yardy, asked me not to park in the same area as another couple. Not a problem because a man was there? I why it was ok for them to be parked there, he said it wasn t. But he hadn t told them to move or explained for next time not to park there. I do not like being made to feel unwelcome. This is clearly sexist agist behaviour. If I was 20 they would have treated me nicely because I would have been a sexual object to them. If I had brought my husband, they would have treated me with respect. But as a middle aged woman by myself, they treated me with irritation and annoyance. I spend a lot of money on wood and cement and tools. We just purchased a new home I will be renovating, not my husband. I won t be coming back to this wood yard though!

Great visit today. Staff were very helpful. And they had a trade breakfast this morning!

Rhys excellent went above beyond with his help and customer service. Some good advice and happy to help with getting some door products in not in stock. Thanks again. Regards Alex

Wonderful helpful service from Sarah. Was about to walk out disappointed as the steps advertised as available were not available. She thought out of the square, really took time out to walk me over to pallets suggested I use them. Bonus they're free and also got the sawing man to cut it down to size. Most impressed with Sarah's customer service. Thankyou

First time at this Placemakers, awesome service and products. Had everything. Ask for John, he's a legend.

Very disappointed with a recent experience in the timber yard
The older gentleman i was helped by was either having a very bad day or just didn't want to serve customers.
I managed to get what i needed but received short or no responses to anything i said. There were other examples of rudeness but there probably isn't much point detailing them
In comparison the staff inside were friendly and helpful but this isn't enough to make me want to go back again, ever.

I come here to pick up the Bosch tools. The staffs are very helpful and friendly. Everything are well organized.
