This is one of my go-to restaurants for a good salad with amazing service. It's no wonder the place is always so crowded, but no matter what, they ca always get you in and out in a reasonable amount of time. In addition to their already huge menu, they also keep a running list of past daily specials that they offer every day now due to popularity.

I just stop in for a bloody Mary on my birthday March 7th 2020. It was an awesome bloody Mary. Professional funny staff. Especially the bartender Stephanie :).. I definitely will be back.
Food is amazing, the atmosphere is amazing, our waitress was on it when it came to making sure our drinks were full. She was also fun and bubbly. It was like eating at a friend's house.
Omg total hidden gem. They man who took our order was so awesome and I even ordered off the secret menu (that's what I called it not them) the pastrami which is not on their menu was amazing!
I come to PJs as often as I can. It gets super busy but its just because the breakfast food is so good! The burgers are banging too! All around great food and great service!
Excellent food. Excellent service, BUT PERHAPS THIS RESTAURANTS BEST ATTRIBUTE IS.... THE ALCOHOLIC BEVERAGES ARE FANTASTIC,EXTRAORDINARY,MAGNIFICENT,SPECTACULAR,AND VERY STRONG. THEY MUST PUT THE LADIES THAT MIX DRINKS THRU A BARTENDER BOOT CAMP, CAUSE EVEY DRINK I HAVE CONSUMED HERE WAS TOP NOTCH, AND THE OPPOSITE OF WATERED DOWN. IF YOU APPRECIATE A WELL MADE DRINK. THIS IS YOUR PLACE. THE BARRENDERS OBVIOUSLY TAKE THEIR TRADE SERIOUS!THIS RESTAURANT IS WORTH A VERY PENNY
Great find for ribs...reasonable price and generous servings. Inside cozy with additional seating outdoor in fine weather. Friendly and concerned service.
Such an amazing place to have breakfast. They are best known for their eggs benedict, but honestly you can't go wrong with any selection. While you're there please do yourself the immense favor of getting a glass of fresh squeeze orange juice. Staff is very friendly and will make you feel at home if this is your first time it your hundredth.
Years Ago PJ& Company It Was MY Kind Of Place Back Then IT Was Called Frog's They Had The Best Chic-Wings IN Reno USE To Go On MY Day's Off From Work To Set ON Patio An Eat Wings-Drink ICE TEA Frog's Was ONE Of My Favorite Place's To EAT AT When They Went Out Business I CrYed
We went here for a quick dinner just before our flight out of Reno last weekend, and were glad we found this place. Food was delicious, service was excellent, and we were especially happy with the large number of vegetarian options. Unfortunately, we weren't hungry enough to try all they had to offer, but we had the Veggie Burger which was good, and their cornbread with honey butter is a must try! Their location is very convenient too, less than 10 minutes from the airport. Highly recommend.
Been going to PJ's over 20+ years now. It's been my favorite family breakfast spot. They have NEVER let me down with poor service or bad food. Always AWESOME!
One if the hometown favorites in Reno and they have been here for a long time. They have a breakfast menu that is extensive with great customer service!
Great food. Nice and friendly staff. Food came out promptly and was piping hot. Went on a Tuesday morning around 9 so it wasn't to busy. Fresh croissant was delicious. Will definitely hit this place up again
A great family diner. Stopped here from the airport. Server was friendly and patient. Very large portions here, so process may seem high, but you get what you pay for. Would stop by again.
Best eggs Benedict ever! They also have a chicken with spinach salad that's sooo good! Their house balsamic vinagarett is a good match with that, I just wish they'd use olive oil instead of canola.
My wife found this place when we visit Reno for my B-Day weekend. The entire experience was wonderful. The host, I believe his name was Steve, (please forgive me if it's not), he was extremely friend and had a big smile one his. Our server, Merly was awesome friendly and very attentive. Oh....! I can't forget about the food... AMAZING. Very good food. The potatoes were sooo good. Fresh cut, and seasoned very well. My Monte Cristo was good as well. I can't wait to get back there!
This place is delicious and has very friendly staff and owners. Every one here seems to love being there and trys to be everyone's friend. I sat at the bar near the food window and every thing coming out looked amazing. I was not disappointed when my food came out. It was a good as it looked. Thanks PJ staff for making my last day in Reno so great.
Great place! Friendly staff, wonderful food. We are doing Keto diet & it was no problem ordering from the menu. Our omelettes were delicious & they were very accommodating with a slight change of no carbs by adding cottage cheese instead. This is a must visit place for us in the future!
The food is amazing. The bloody Mary's are amazing. The only downfall is it's always packed when I go. Sometimes it takes a while to get a table or order but it's totally worth the wait
I'd like to contact the owner about a business opportunity. After all in a changing time what business or employees of that business would deter the interst of being able to generate more income for the business in such a challenging time for us all.
Wednesday night bike night. Great gathering place - all kinds of bikes from old vintage racers to today's most modern cafe style and all sorts in between. Indian, Harley, BMW, Ducati, Kawasaki, Honda, Suzuki, Triumph and on and on...during street vibrations and all year long. To top it off - you absolutely can not beat the fajitas- THE BEST IN TOWN!
PJ's is one of my all-time favorite places to eat in Reno. This is consistently delicious, well-made food. It's not too fancy (although it's a rarity to have a green salad with fresh, sliced mushrooms, cucumbers, garbanzo beans and delicious cherry or plum tomatoes) but always tastes great. I can't resist the BLTA, with lots of fresh avocado and much more perfectly-cooked crispy, bacon than the average BLT. I got the cottage cheese on the side. My husband always gets the tuna melt--best in the world. My teenagers love their burgers and fries. Service is excellent, starting with a friendly greeting, quick seating (even when crowded), and skilled servers moving your meal along at your pace. They also have TVs in their bar for when you're hoping to watch a game.
Miss coming here on a regular basis since we moved. Always a must when visiting! Great food and friendly staff. Weekdays are great for not having a wait but it's worth the wait if you have to go in the weekend.
PJ's has been a consistently amazing restaurant in Reno. Just now they have again proven how much they care about their clients. Myself and a few of my Co-workers at the Dolan Auto Group just placed an order for pickup. We got two salads and two sandwiches. When I returned to the dealership we realized they did not include the salad dressings we ordered. We called to let them know we didn't have them and the manager personally delivered our salad dressings to our receptionist for us. Talk about customer service! Thank you PJ's!!!
I used to love this place for breakfast. However, they just hired some new cooks and when I visited for breakfast this past Friday morning I had to send my California Benedict back, not to mention waiting over thirty minutes for our food in the first place and it wasn't even busy. The eggs weren't even cooked and the hollandaise sauce had the consistency of water (not exaggerating). When the second plate came out, the eggs were overcooked, the potatoes were still raw and the hollandaise sauce still had the consistency of water. My mom ordered a simple plate, scrambled eggs and bacon and she said her eggs were horrible and the bacon was overcooked to the point of not having any flavor. The only thing that I liked was the fresh squeezed orange juice. Sadly I will never go back here again and I have been eating here for 20 years.
My wife and I went to have breakfast this morning it took more than 20 minutes for the server to take our order and when we got the food like 30 minutes later it was awful very very bad experience
Best restaurant in town! Always an extremely friendly atmosphere with great tasting food. This place and these people never disappoint, would highly recommend to anyone looking for their new favorite restaurant. Guaranteed to be the favorite spot for the whole family for breakfast, lunch, and dinner!
Take a time machine back to the best Marie Calenders you can remember from the 1980's, add in an amazing bar with some talented barkeeps and you get PJ's on South Wells. This place is one of Reno's best kept secrets.
I always liked this place, but haven't been for a while. The menu has changed and now it's less cowboy breakfast and more diner style food. The food was decent, but I preferred what it was.
Updated to 5 stars since they started handing out the "Secret Menu".
