If you are looking for authentic southern food, you cannot go wrong with this place. They have a good variety of food on the menu, accompanied by a buffet as well. Last but not the least the fried chicken is a must!

A great example of fine southern dining. A little on the pricy side, but I have never experienced such great service as this in Atlanta. The host was such a character, our server was very charming, and the food was superb.

Catfish showed up with something that looked like it was supposed to be jambalaya, but had no shrimp or crawfish. Gumbo came out after my meal because they said they had to make it? Who runs out of gumbo at 6:30 on a Tuesday? It had one small piece of sausage. Slow service (took 20 min just to get the check). Don't bother.

A very clean and a friendly staff at this location. We came in with a group of over 10 people, we were seated within 10 minutes and had a wide selection of delicious food options available to us. Food was prepared and served to us in a timely fashion. The servers were very helpful and made sure that we had full drinks at all times. The after dinner wait for the bill was very short and the prices were very reasonable. The atmosphere of the place was very laid back and comfortable for all of us. I would definitely recommend this establishment for anyone who enjoys a good dinner, good drinks and a family style dinner or casual drink and munch.

Overpriced tourist trap in my opinion. Not authentic southern fare. The biscuits and cornbread were too dense for our tastes, and the food wasn t anything to write home about. The famous fried chicken was just okay. We ve had better in our southern home town. The greens had no flavor and tasted like they were straight out of the can. My mother in law makes better pecan pie than Pitty Pats. The pork chops were the only thing on the $79 ticket for the two of us that I felt wasn t a rip off. I was optimistic going in, but I left disappointed.

Customers are a burden. Wasn't seated until ENTIRE party was present. Talked back to by staff and ignored during the entire meal. Forced to ask for service, refills, food, clearing the table, desert and finally the check. Two stars because the food was delicious but experience was dreadful. Will not come back and do not suggest.

DO NOT EAT HERE! OVER PRICED & DISGUSTING! WILL SERVE YOU OTHERS LEFTOVER BREAD!

I was absolutely disgusted after leaving this place. My husband and son had eaten here about 4 years ago and loved it. So they were really excited for the whole family to eat there.
Things started out great until they brought out our food. Our food was burnt, my son's chicken was raw with blood running out. The fish we ordered was not only burnt but for $25.00 you received less that 4oz of fish nothing like the pic in the menu (the picture showed 2 huge pieces of catfish the size of the plate) laid over a scoop of rice and then we had to share the other side's A scoop of green and black eyed peas. They brought out food to replace our dishes and more bloody chicken. Will waiting for the check I noticed that the fresh bread basket that was left on the table next to us was picked up by a Waiter and took back over to the window where the "fresh bread" was supposedly cooked. The man behind the window took out he uneaten bread and put into another basket for another table! I wanted to throw up especially since my family had asked for a second basket of bread since our food was so bad. So I took my knife and cut up all the bread in our basket. As we walked away our waiter grabbed the basket and took it to the window and the guy looked at it shook his head and tossed the whole basket! The next day we were all sick .

Was a dinner of a group of conference attendees. The hotel suggested it. The food was very southern, with fried chicken, pork chops with peanut sauce, etc but all of us enjoyed our meals. A salad bar was included with the meal as were delicious biscuits. We barely saved enough room for dessert - I had peach cobbler a la mode - delicious. A very nice place, good service, big servings. I didn't see the bill so I'm not sure how expensive it was. I will certainly try to go back the next time I'm in Atlanta.

Pitty pats porch is some true southern cuisine. If you are a picky eater and will only eat your food one way, I recommend not going. Hard Rock Cafe is literally 5 seconds up the street so I recommend that you go there. Service was ok. I sat down and my waiter gave us water and did not ask if I wanted any other drink. I went down to the sideboard (a buffet thing) and I saw that they only had 4 options for a non-alcoholic drink. 1 was water. There are better places to go to.

Couldn t wait till after walking out the door to write this terrible review. Pianist was horrible and played way too much. Dressings at the salad bar were hot and sour. No ice in our drinks. Food was pitty ful and was not up to par. Bathroom was disgusting. Was not worth our $120 tab. Leaving disappointed after reading all the good reviews.

Clearly an institution. Not my thing at all. Seems to be a tourist trap or people from Atlanta who can't let go of the past? Comfort food I suppose but everything looked and tasted like grandma can't cook. Ticked the box, been there seen it done it .... won't be going back. Riding on former glories, reputations and fumes.

Great food! If your really hungry this place has a wait yet they will get you in..eventually.. The service was great. Our waiter was really funny and made sure we had all we needed. Food took a while to come but for the most part it was a pretty good experience. The only draw back was there was no parking. The resturants downtown so that's part of the reason.

I was really disappointed with this restaurant overall. We came here as out of town guests, and I was immediately drawn in by the "Gone with the Wind" theme. The restaurant was anything but. Aside from a couple posters and a painting or two, you would have never known that the restaurant was supposed to go along with a theme. The food was mediocre and way over priced, and cleanliness and decoration left much to be desired. The staff, however, was very friendly and was the only bright spot in this experience. I came in very hopeful and excited, but left very disappointed and $100 lighter (for only 2 adults and a 6 year old).

If you want to get a true taste of southern comfort food, this is the spot! The food was exceptional (especially the bread pudding) and the atmosphere made it a true experience. The owner could not have been kinder and took such great care of us! Definitely a must if you are ever in Atlanta.

Went there with some friends and got there at a decent hour before it became crowded. Had the best server this side of the Mississippi, named Bo. He gave us personal service, making us feel like we were the only people in the place.

The food, however......very underwhelming. I ordered the crab cakes and did not taste any crab at all, in fact they were pretty tasteless overall.

I understand the price, sure its $28 for your entree but you also get the salad bar, unlimited cornbread-muffins , and a side dish. But, seriously, your signature dishes reflect on your place as a whole. Either step up and serve them with taste or don't serve them at all.

The sweet potato muffins were the only thing worth eating.

I ordered a bloody Mary but they did not have any tomato juice....really?

So overall, I would recommend this place as a place to stop for the experience, maybe for a drink or dessert, but not a place to experience good southern food.

Very poor service to a group of 16 with reservations. Food too salty and the server was even more salty. Ignored us, was dismissive of our questions and very poorly trained. Claimed he had served Presidents and the Trumpet Awards! The manager was not helpful or responsive. First and LAST TIME at this place.

This is basically an in-town Cracker Barrel, so if that's your thing, then this place is for you. Stopped for dinner before a show at the Tabernacle and wouldn't stop there again. I also found their shtick about being a former Gone With The Wind themed place kind of offensive, tbh.

We arrived around 5:00 and received immediate seating. We sat upstairs in the bar area, a location that was light and lively. Terrence was our server, and we followed all of his recommendations, from Moonshiners Punch, to Fried Green Tomatoes, to Fried Chicken, to Bourbon Street Bread Pudding. The meal was perfect, and the service was even better. This was fine Southern food and real Southern hospitality, at its best. Pittypat's Porch will be our first Atlanta meal every time we visit. Thank you, Terrence!

The story behind this restaurant was fun. I love southern food, so the names for the menu options and the story for each were very entertaining. Definitely didn't need a kids menu to keep me occupied. I liked being able to build my own salad, not sure if the meals were supposed to be family style, but I didn't mind sharing. The portions were well sized, but I can say my ribeye was bland, I might be used to a more seasoned grill flavor though. Will definitely come back on my next trip to eat.
