A lovely B&B and close to town centre. Great owners, friendly and helpful. Next time I need a place to stay in Keswick, Pitcairn house will be first place I call.

Stayed at Pitcairn House for two nights, friendly hosts, varied and substantial breakfast menu and a lovely, comfortable bedroom. We will certainly return.
Exceptionally clean. Great attention to detail throughout hotel, owners left little gift pack of soap etc in room. Daily home baking left for guests (muffins & flapjacks) with fresh milk in a guest fridge for afternoon cuppa. Very well equipped, excellent breakfast- delicious and beautifully presented . Very welcoming and helpful owners. Lovely decor. Would highly recommend.
My wife and I had a wonderful stay at Pitcairn House. Heather and Steve were very friendly and helpful, our room was clean and bright and very comfortable, and the breakfasts were outstanding. The only problem was that we couldn't stay longer, but we will certainly return if we have the chance. Highly recommended.
Had a lovely stay for a short break. We could not fault the accommodation. Particular attention had been made to the little extras in the room. Lovely breakfast. Great location.
Very welcoming and friendly owners. Well appointed rooms in the middle of Keswick. Off road parking for motorcycles with wall anchors if required. Fantastic breakfast, just right before a days riding. Thoroughly recommend.
Good location, nice comfortable house, friendly and helpful owners, very good breakfasts.
Gorgeous rooms. Lovely breakfast in a family friendly BandB.
We visited Keswick over the Easter bank holiday. Not only were we very lucky with glorious weather, but our stay at Pitcairn House was fabulous. Heather and Steve were very welcoming and really took care of us. We booked the en-suite feature double room which was very cosy and comfortable with stunning views of the surrounding hills. Equipped with tea and coffee making facilities, TV, hair dryer and a great shower (with amazing local shower gel and moisturisers) plus plenty of plug sockets including two by the mirror which is a key must for me when it comes to getting ready! Set a couple of roads back from the main high street there was minimal street noise so we slept really well. Breakfast was delicious. Plenty of options from a full English, to eggs/salmon on muffins or a variety of cereals, fruit, pastries and toast, you ll start your day off well fed! And I loved that on Easter Sunday there were mini eggs and Easter treats hidden under our coffee cups which was a cute surprise. On one of the days we ordered a packed lunch for a strenuous hike and it was delicious and plenty of it. Heather is great at baking and we were spoiled with Tiffin bites and flapjacks, plus hot cross buns in our packed lunch which went down well with us. Heather and Steve are super helpful and gave us lots of helpful information, including maps for walks, recommendations for local restaurants and places to sit on Lake Derwent which were peaceful to watch the sunset. We really enjoyed our stay and I was sad to leave. If we re back in Keswick we ll definitely stay at Pitcairn House again. I d recommend it to anyone. They totally deserve their five star reviews.
We stayed for the Keswick mountian festival last weekend. Lovely people and lovely friendly place to stay. Slept really well in a very comfy and clean bed. Breakfast each morning was very nice with lots of choice. We will be staying again.
Thank you.

Highly recommend Pitcairn House.
Stayed with Heather and Steve while hiking in the area.
Very clean bedroom and bathroom Super fresh breakfast each morning and always a great chat.
Best flapjacks too.
Thanks Guys, really enjoyed our stay, best of luck in the future.
Excellent location, breathtaking views of Latrigg, Walla Crag and close to parks, shops, restaurants, town centre. Excellent warm, friendly hospitality. Fully intend to make a return visit in the not too distant future.
wonderfull hosts very clean and presented rooms 5 star breakfast would love to stay again thank you for warm welcome
Cozy little bed & breakfast with very good and rich breakfast and very nice hosts. Room 2 is tiny (the smallest in the house) and therefore not recommended for longer stays, but for one to two nights you can endure it here as well.
Great location, great breakfast, great hosts. Ticked all our boxes
Just back today from a 2 night stay..Heather & Steve are fantastic hosts. The trip was for my husbands 50th birthday..We stayed in the spacious lovely room 4.Breakfast is fantastic couldnt fault a thing and looking forward to returning yet again in the future.thank you for another great weekend visit.
My wife Caroline and i spent 4 days at Pitcairn House and loved every minute. Heather and Steve really do have a feel for customer care and your comfort was paramount to them. Also great rooms with extremely comfortable mattresses made our hole stay in Keswick a holiday to remember Many thanks from David & Caroline
Friendly hosts with good local knowledge and advice of places to visit , clean rooms, great choice of breakfasts and motorcycle amenities. Short walk from the town and lake. I would highly recommend a visit.
Excellent would recommend to eny body. Lovely people
We highly recommend staying at Pitcairn House when visiting Keswick in the Lake District. It is centrally located, within easy walking distance to all the shops, restaurants and trails yet, it is on a quiet side street. The bus to/from Penrith is within a 5 minute walk to the house. Steve and Heather are wonderful hosts offering a delicious breakfast every morning with plenty of gluten-free options. They are also a fount of information about the area and offer a discount on some of the tickets for attractions such as the Derwentwater Cruise. The rooms were very clean and the beds were very comfortable. Fresh milk for tea is in a communal fridge on the landing which we were also able to use to store our perishables. Our family of 6, spread out in three rooms, were extremely happy to have discovered Pitcairn House. Our son and daughters were also very taken with the two resident cats (Holly and Bramble). If we visit Keswick again, we would love to return to Pitcairn House.
Can not fault this b & b, very friendly, breakfast to die for and excellent hosts.
