I cannot begin to tell you how much we enjoy your musical productions that you have performed. What a dedicated staff and students.

We just saw Beauty and the Beast. Just when you think they cannot get any better, they do.

Keep up the good work.

Debbie Boo has contaminated these review and I suggest reporting her to get the rating that should be there. Well, looks like others have too, ignore the people who just want to give bad reviews and don't know the impact they are making. And I have an argument for my claim as the school has reinsured me to make sure I always have one.
First of all, everyone has a right to an opinion, right or wrong, and one student's opinion should not criminalize the whole school.
Second of all, the majority of the student body is a great dedicated one with good morals who would never say anything like that.
Third, it is the public high school for more than five towns, they cannot deny anyone in those towns admission. You are going to pick up slackers and the less "motivated". This should not diminish the great education the school gives just because some students aren't willing to learn.

So to go against what others have said, no, there are no drugs. Those who do them keep them to themselves and don't bother us with them. If you really think your child isn't getting a good education here then ask your child if they've really been applying themselves or push themselves into the learning given or if they just slide along. Ask them what crowd they hang out with. There are people here who I'd love to throw out a window but I didn't think of them when writing this because I simply don't concern myself with that crowd. So those who say bad things about the school probably come from those crowds.....

So, it's not the school, it's you. (And to parents, it's not the school, it's either your child, you, or both)

Honestly, I can't imagine where I'd be today if I'd stuck with my old high school.Transferring to Pinkerton was the best choice I've ever made. I've gone on to be successful in college after graduation and have found that Pinkerton gave me a much higher education than other students were offered. The music program is a dream, as well. Definitely the best place to go. If anyone is unsatisfied with their education, it's probably because they didn't put effort forward.

Well, I feel I can say I'm receiving a private school education through a mostly public school. On the academic side, most of the teachers are great, there is a large range of classes and clubs to prepare us for what we want to do. Most teachers will not lecture you unless it really fits the class, there's a lot of project based learning, and I've never felt like I'm not learning the material, unless I already know it, which does happen quite frequently. They want us to truly be ready for life, but aren't exactly keen about us graduating early, which would benefit me greatly with what I want to do. But I understand why for most, that is probably the right option. On the student life side, there's never too much homework to handle, the food is great, I've never witnessed any bullying, and with such a large student body it's extremely easy to find friends. Plus, there really is no popularity concept, except for those who let their middle school popularity contests live on, but since students are coming from at least six different middle school experiences, even that isn't very strong... Another plus, we sometimes feel like we are going to the American muggle Hogwarts. (Except for the supposed magic school at the top of the tower that is bigger on the inside)

The only disadvantage is sometimes feeling like a number, but that's okay because it pushes you to rise above. Without a doubt this school gives the most preparation any school following the not completely traditional, but traditional education methods.

Freshman Bathrooms - The bathrooms are squandered with freshman using drugs and vaping materials. I've seen an improvement only once, and that is having a security/staff member inside, near the bathroom door. Notice how this was only once. As of today 2/6/18, they've had a staff member with a checklist and said, "You need to wait. You can either go to the media center or the cafeteria bathroom for now." This issue needs massive improvements, as the staff member in the bathroom was shown to have no drug use, whereas the monitor before the entrance telling us we couldn't use the bathroom was wrong in many ways. I know fellow students that have conditions in which they need to use the bathroom constantly, however they do not want to be mocked in front of the class or teacher when asking frequently in class hours. Second, this is depriving us of proper needs in what we need to do. Third, as I see this as of now, the students with bathroom passes are being held up by staff guarding the door. Also, the cafeteria bathroom closes at 1:18 which is non-accessible at that point, and limits us to one bathroom. If we are caught in a different class, in which we are using the bathroom, staff would have to use diciplinary action. We need to have a bathroom monitor IN the bathrooms to assure that there is no drug use, and there is no line to the simple subject of a bathroom

I got a quality education and was well ahead when I went to college (2011). Every school is bound to have some druggies and burn outs, but numbers were lower than most and the school pushed hard to help everyone succeed. All in all though, this school was a wonderful opportunity for me and I'd recommend it to anyone who wants their kids to go far in life.
