The PYFC has been a hub for culture in Santa Monica since its opening in 2002 , a great place for youth, that provides amazing service to help youth stay out of the streets. We need more cultural places like the PYFC in more low income neighborhoods , and their will be more social changes!

I've been attending the PYFC for three years and when I first started coming they welcomed me into this amazing environment. I was able to hang out with my friends and meet other nice people. Their are many things you can do here at the PYFC, like make rap music(may be you will go far into the music business with your rap...), film/photography, do homework, or just hang out with your friends. We also have UCLA tutors that would love to help out with any homework problem, they come every Wednesday. We have eight windows 8 touch screen computers our youth can use as a school resource or just for fun. The back drop screen provides the youth with movies, sports games or music so they could relax(on a really soft couch) after a long day of hard work. If those guys want to get buff we have weights so they could exercise and get strong. Open mic time! for any one with a music talent that would like to sing in front of others to get practice and show others your amazing talent. The lovely office manager brings fresh food for all the youth because who's not hungry after school?(plus samohi is literally across the street! Next to the Boba Lab and Reds Pizza) The founder of this foundation welcomes any one, any age, any race this place, its home to many teens that come and get school support so they can become scholars instead of going in the wrong direction. He welcomes everyone in this unique and beautiful center with the best intentions, like my aunt says,"We make the most out of what we got!"

Outstanding workshops and great learning environment. It is definitely a place where anyone can come and grow in their creativity. It is a free space and unlike anything I've ever been too! Best people and not to mention studio time, a stage, computers etc.

ME AND MY FAMILY LOVE THE PYFC! It is a safe loving environment that caters to our family and youth. Tupac's former manager and mentor Leila Stienberg does workshops every wednesday there for the last 20 years which are a nostalgic experience. When i need a place to go I go to the PYFC. They have an awesome film department, musical recording studio (TOP TIER) and a performing space that is something you have to experience first hand. Plus they have touch screen desktop computers that are available to everyone. All this is for free! THE PYFC IS A BLESSING!

A place of culture arts love history & beautiful struggle for justice & dignity... its a space that's saved lives, curbed youth violence in the West LA Region since 1998 gang wars ... Some in power have seen it as a threat ... has survived murder attempts and a crooked city manager (rod "the ghoul" Gould)... A voice for the People, Standing strong for 17 yrs .... a place of peace & great stories ... Long live the PYFC!

i love coming here because the people are welcoming and they try and keep me from doing bad things. Everybody here is a good influence on me and they make me feel like they really care and want whats best for me. I'm glad i started coming here because if i didn't i feel like i probably would have kept doing the bad things i was doing. Shout out to the PYFC!!
