Beautiful theater, modern and technological. Scenographies of effect, very varied, with many games of sheets and various moving objects. Comfortable armchairs. You can see it very well from every place.

The "Piccolo" is always beautiful to visit. I went to Slava's Snow Show. Exciting, unpredictable, engaging, it makes you part of the show, it hooks up to your deepest emotions and shakes you from top to bottom. A show in the true sense of the term, an emotional experience, at times sad, at times very funny, at times absurd, to bring the spectators to be also actors. To be involved in a very strong emotional tornado from the beginning until the unexpected end. Do not look for videos on this show on youtube, go directly to see it in person, to be able to experience every surprise to the full.

The first permanent Italian theater, the Piccolo Teatro di Milano (Theater of Europe by ministerial decree in 1991) was founded on 14 May 1947 by Giorgio Strehler, Paolo Grassi and his wife Nina Vinchi Grassi.

The theater currently consists of three rooms: the Sala Grassi (historic site in Via Rovello), the Teatro Studio Melato (experimental space that also houses the theater school), the Teatro Strehler (main building, inaugurated in 1998). After the death of Giorgio Strehler, the direction was entrusted to Sergio Escobar, still in office. Artistic Advisor from 1999 until his death, was the director Luca Ronconi. After the death of Luca Ronconi in 2015, Sergio Escobar wanted the playwright and writer Stefano Massini at his side as artistic consultant

Beautiful theater! Small, intimate and very original in the arrangement, but the seats in the stalls are very very comfortable. It seems to be in the square of a condominium (but with nice condominiums ).
Excellent acoustics in the speeches

For me that I attend the theater very little has really made a good impression. Besides the show that was really fascinating, I must say that the theater is kept very well. It is clean, elegant, furnished with inside bar (for a fee) and wardrobe (free). It is conveniently located outside the Lanza metro (look at the correct side to exit from and there will be an exit right in front of it). The cost is usually not, however, too much I have to do a note. I asked for a lot of information and explanations but there is no way to buy a reduced ticket online (e.g. students). The only solutions are by going to the ticket office or by telephone dictating the credit card data which seems to me a somewhat insecure method because I do not see data privacy protected at the end of the operation. So I had to buy the entire ticket although entitled to the reduced capacity as a student. In all other places such as museums I have always purchased reduced tickets online and the verification of the right is done at the time of entry without any kind of problem.

An institution in that of Milan. The theater is flawless from a technical point of view: acoustic and visibility of the stage are almost perfect. Comfortable and spacious armchairs. Bright spaces and clear indications. Friendly and helpful staff.
