Philmont Country Club Review

Nice course layout. But rough was too high. Very difficult finding the ball. But .. completely enjoyable round of golf!

My wife and I just got married this past September and we strongly recommend using Philmont Country Club as your reception venue. Our contact, Stacy, was amazing to work with. She made sure our needs were being met, was very responsive to our many questions, and ensured that the day went smoothly and was a success. Plus, she has a great personality which kept things bright and less stressful for us (much needed). The ballroom, cocktail room, and outdoor patio were recently renovated and look great. There was plenty of room for eating and dancing. And the golf course was amazing to use for our outside photos. Food-wise, I have not heard one complaint from the guests; our food selections were delicious and left you wanting more. As an added bonus, they offer a Groom Suite for the guys (something many venues do not have). All-in-all, we are so happy that we got to celebrate our big day at Philmont and would definitely recommend other to do so as well. Thank you Stacy and all of the workers for your tremendous assistance and support. It was such a great day!!!

Absolutely Beautiful course. The people were very friendly a d helpful. Played our round with a member ; he couldn't have been nicer and more accommodating. We can't wait to visit again

One of the caddy s is a real hoot. He s very sassy but a super hard worker! Makes J Wood Platt proud!

This was possibly the worst course I have ever golfed at. I was charged $118 for a round of golf that I would not have even paid $30 if I knew what I was getting into. The greens were filled with divots, and on most holes the grass was being torn up. The fairways also were not well kept and consisted of large patches of dirt, divots, and tire marks. This was the first and only time I have ever been to this course, after wanting to golf here for many years due to its great reputation. I would have rather golfed at any other Philadelphia area course than this one. The scorecards did.l not have maps or yardages. Most of the holes did not have signage so we did not know where we were going or even if we were on the right hole. This was an absolute disgrace of a golf course.

Really liked the course. Played a GAP match here. The layout is great, the property is beautiful, the members seem really nice, and the staff was terrific. If I lived any closer I'd definitely consider joining. Apparently they have a great tennis facility and pool too!

It's a great club with everything you could possibly want at your fingertips. If you're looking for tennis golf pickleball or the new indoor golf simulator or a great venue for any type of event or party you want to plan Philmont cc is the place to go.

WHATEVER YOU DO, PLEASE STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE. RACIST PEOPLE AND THEY TREAT THEIR EMPLOYEES LIKE CRAP. YOU'RE BETTER OFF GULFING ELSEWHERE.

Please spell my name correctly for starters. I asked for gazpacho and was told that there was none. I found out later that there was gazpacho there to be served at dinner. The tables and furniture were obviously purchased second hand which is not how top clubs generally obtain their furnishings. The swimming pool water was dirty and the lifeguards did little to maintain order.

Beautiful place for an event or wedding! We Always have a great time here!

The course layout is one of the best in the Philly area. Can't say enough about the staff and what they were able to accomplish this year. If you haven't gotten the memo Philmont is back!

My husband and I recently had our wedding ceremony and reception at the club. I can't express how smoothly both events went. Ed Rubin was extremely attentive to our requests and actually planned for things ahead of my asking! We received so many compliments on the food and the newly decorated room...people were thanking us for inviting them ! The experience at Philmont was truly amazing. It was a day that started out sunny and 71 degrees and ended with the parking attendants shoveling snow! This is a top shelf venue with top shelf staff. Thanks to everyone who made this day so special !

Golf course was in good shape. Classic layout by Park, Jr. Pro shop staff was friendly.

Not very easy to find the entrance at night. The club house is nice. Currently under renovation but it has promise. Fix the lighting and signage and it will be a big improvement

Never disappoints. Wonderful catering and food selection. More than ample facilities for most occasions. Easy to work with the accommodating staff.

Great time, nice course but the greens are hammered right now.

Played here a few times last season. Am looking to join for the 2016 season! People are nice and facility is in top notch condition.

Challenging course, friendly pro shop, great service in the grille. Currently have some maintenance on number 18 which has it playing as a part 3, rather than a par 5. Greens were just aerated when there, so hard to say how they rolled. Ladies locker room was spacious and well stocked. Looking forward to going back, maybe will be five star once they complete maintenance and greens healed in.

This place was great!! The entire staff is on point from the bar to the servers. Great food. They really have it right!!

Attended a fundraiser for a local School. Great time with golf, food and cocktails.

Good place for a banquet which is why I was there. I have been there many years ago to golf as well. There's still a membership presence and the grounds are well kept as best as I can see.

This club is he best ever. Trust me. I have beenthere over 27 years.

Played recently at a non members tournament. The course , for a private club, is remarkably poorly maintained, especially the greens. I ve played municipal courses with better green maintenance. One of the greens was actually closed so a makeshift green was put in the middle of the fairway. I groused about it to an employee there and she wholeheartedly agreed with my negative impression. Wouldn t play there again if invited for free.

This is a fantastic place to have any kind of an event. Wedding, bar or bat mitzvah, corporate event would all be great here. They have fantastic food and a very friendly staff that caters to your every need. With the new renovations to the club it truly is a fantastic place
