The prices for seafood in OCMD are very high. We found that the $39.95 price tag for the Seafood Buffet is well worth it. It is much better than paying $13 for a dozen steamed clams at other places.

We steer clear of Embers and the Bonfire which offer buffets around the same price because Phillips quality of seafood is much better.

The atmosphere inside was great, service was good, but the food was so so compared to what we've had else where in OC. They didn't bring us butter for everyone and no Old Bay offered at all. I don't know if it was the time of day is what but the clientele seemed like they had been drinking all day at the beach... Waiting outside in line, people were kind of rowdy, crabby in need of some food. Glad I tried it, but probably won't be back.

Came here for the breakfast buffet (about $13). It was alright. The staff was great and very friendly but the food was okay. The place itself was very clean but the utensils could use a bit more cleanliness. The omlettle bar was great and you could choose from a variety do cheeses and toppings such as ham, crab, peppers, onions, etc. The other things were just alright. All in all the breakfast was alright, but nothing great. I hear the dinner is much better but I don't have any experience with the dinner.

This review is for the menu ordering section of the restaurant, NOT the buffet. This restaurant has been around forever in Ocean City and is extraordinarily popular, especially the upstairs buffet section. Our server was especially nice and the meal started off with a mini loaf of freshly baked bread, which was moist and surprisingly good for "free bread." I ordered crispy calamari, lobster bisque, and the broiled seafood platter. The crispy calamari had a nice, lighter-than-expected (in a good way) fried coating and was served with a sweet chili sauce for dipping. It just needed a dash of salt. The lobster bisque was nicely seasoned, thick, creamy, and had a good portion of lobster meat mixed in. The fresh bread was amazing dipped in the bisque. They are also famous for their cream of crab soup, which is also very good. The broiled seafood platter gives a nice taste of a few of their full size dishes. It includes salmon, a shrimp skewer, a small crabcake, crab imperial, and vegetables. Again some of the items needed a little salt. Their fingerling potatoes and crab imperial were exceptional. Overall it was a great experience.

its like a tradition in the family that when you visit OC during the summer, you also have to stop by Phillips! Was pleasantly surprised by the size of the blue crabs they had here and all the seafood was very good. Mainly go for oysters, snow crabs and snow crab clusters. service is friendly, and for the price its a steal.

Server, Emma was lovely. Food was just average, some was just plain awful. Not worth the amount of money they charge. Will never be back. Buffet set up is idiotic, battling all guests to get to food. Wish Emma the best of luck.

Great variety of seafood offered. Probably the biggest selection of any of the AYCE places we've been to over the years. They have ample seating and there are food bars on both sides of the kitchen so limited waiting.

Poor lighting, no silverware. Had to ask for glasses of water. .and appetizer plates to go with our appetizers. Forgot part of our meal(coleslaw). The sangria tasted like watered down wine with 3 slices of fruit in it. Wasn't sweet at all. Dinner was cold by the time we got everything and the waitress had very poor social skills. Another waitress we observed was very attentive to her tables and her guests seemed to have a better experience. We will not be going back with our car group as we had planned. Overpriced for what it was.

$39 per person is a little to expensive for the selection of food that the buffet had to offer. Mediocre at best as far as the food goes and staff should be a little more eager to share information about the buffet as to how it work. I mean I get it about the whole buffet thing but for the price I was expecting a bit more.

Amazing!!!!! Absolutely no words. It was my first time here and whenever I visit Ocean City again I will 110% visit this place. Food was amazing, and service was just as amazing. 11/10 in my book.

Great meal...got the 2 person seafood meal. Wish there had been more shrimp and clams and less potatoes, which weren't cooked thoroughly, but it was still great and corn was tasty. Crab chowder was amazing.

The Steaks are amazing and the Crabcakes are on my top 3 best all time. The Salmon was ok,, grilled shrimp delicious! The crab Imperial is also tops!

Went back to this place after a few years. I don't see how the bill is that high. The food is pretty good, but definitely not exquisite or worth the cost. I feel dumb for talking this place up to come back with my girlfriend a few years later. The place was a mess, felt rushed, loud, the seating was just confusing, nothing seemed organized. It's okay at best. Sorry guys, wish I could've left a better review. Maybe we'll try again.

Staff was very friendly and we were seated immediately for dinner service on a Saturday night. The food however, was beyond underwhelming. I ordered half a pound of steamed shrimp and half pound snow crab legs which came with potatoes, corn and sausage. First, they served me one cluster of the skinniest crab legs and roughly 10 shrimp. Everything tasted like it was boiled in unseasoned water (yes even the potatoes) and sprinkled with a dash of old bay before goin out. I was also served unsalted butter, which tasted like cheese, as a dipping sauce. All of the fried food we ordered was over cooked or burnt. Overall was not the meal I was expecting from a big name restaurant with so many good reviews. Definitely would not eat here again. Received 3 stars for their amazing staff.

With the price they're charging you, you should be getting better quality, however, they at least give you the quantity. The crabs were above average, at least everyone got out without getting sick. The service was good though, waiters and all.

The overall quality is average, however, they give you the quantity, which is good for an all you can eat restaurant. Unless you really want lots of crustaceans, I would suggest you crave something somewhere else.
