I recently purchased a Peruzzi certified used vehicle from Peruzzi in Quakertown (04/26/21). I purchased a used Mazda CX-5, that I viewed on the Quakertown dealerships website. The vehicle was actually located at Peruzzi Mazda in Langhorne.
At the time of purchase I was told that only one key was brought up with the vehicle and that they would have someone bring it up. Ok, I was fine with that.
After driving the vehicle for 5 days I had been hearing a sound from the brakes. It became more frequent and much more noticeable. I called the dealership, took it in and was told it was just new brakes and no one heard the sound.
Long story short, 3 trips back to the dealership, more excuses, sales manager riding with me and he acknowledged that there was a definitely an issue,
the problem was still not addressed. Finally, my last attempt, the mechanic rode with me, he also drove the vehicle and said he had an idea what it was. Now, I have been told that the rotor on the drivers front brake had glazing on it, they removed it and it has not made any noise. Now, I understand that this can happen, not likely but it is possible with new brakes- no one checked the other side, so how can I feel safe and confident that my brakes are ok?
The sales manager assured me if there is a problem in the future they will stand behind it and correct it.
My question is, why not check the rest now instead of waiting for the noise or the possibility of an accident while braking because of insufficient brake contact?
And the second key- I m still waiting. I was told Wednesday 05/19/21 that I would be called to come get it by the end of the day. I have received no such call as of 5 pm today, Thursday, almost a full month from the date of purchase.
I live locally and work locally to the dealership and at this point I would not recommend Peruzzi to anyone.
