"Per Lei" Restaurant, NYC Review

I am a native New Yorker and will keep to the directness of how we are known to be :)

Food: Excellent! If you are looking for a great Italian, this is it!
Drinks: Excellent. Great wine.
Space: Outdoor dining in the summer months. Very nice, cozy and intimate dining inside.
Scene: People watching. Romantic. This place is always packed on the weekends. So, reserve ahead.
Crowd: 20-40s Great for date night or get togethers.
Service: Excellent, very courteous & professional.

Authentic Italian food. The octopus appetizer was plenty for lunch.

I've been to Per Lei numerous times and each time has been great. The food is delicious, the decor is chic, and the waiters/waitress/manager are personable and professional. I have celebrated my anniversary and many occasion her, and look forward to more memorable moments. A must ( dessert section) tramisu with cappuccino!

Everything was very good. Magdalena our servers was superb!!

A peaceful atmosphere with friendly staff and beautiful decor. Random paintings of women around the place but they blend in well. Everything seems pretty reasonably priced.

Small but delicious dishes.
Server took the wrong order, then was nowhere to be found.
Busboy took the order for dessert and brought wrong dessert.
Then asked us if we would like to cancel the order?

Thank you for a beautiful evening and delicious dinner! You made us feel home! Recommended !

Some dishes could be improved, but socializing is the best along with the drinks.. Joint permanently closed. Totally new.

I have been going to this place for years, but alas, this was my last visit. And the cause? Blueberry pancakes. Yes, a dessert that takes 7 minutes to make from scratch, that was delivered to us 35 minutes late and clearly taken out of the fridge instead of cooked fresh. Worst of all, it was the lies the waiter was feeding us. I realize it is a tough business so just tell me if you have a problem and I will understand. But insulting my intelligence with lame untruths? That is pathetic and unacceptable. Good thing there are newer and better Italian restaurants in the area so it's not a big loss.
