The Local Peasant is a classy establishment with rustic yet sophisticated vibes in the heart of Woodland Hills. I had the pleasure of tasting their moscow mule cocktail with the peasant minies (beef rib sliders) and onion rings, all of which were incredibly delicious and well-made with high quality ingredients. I am pleasantly surprised by the Local Peasant and look forward to coming back soon.

Brussel sprouts were amazing! I will go back just for them, Staff was friendly and attentive. They have plenty of seating inside and also some patio seating outside. Small parking lot $6.99 fee.

Had a dinner date here last night. The vibe was great, the staff were friendly and attentive, and the food was...mostly really good. I got the grilled cheese and tomato bisque. No complaints there. I also ordered a side of Fries. These were undercooked (why can't fry cooks get the timing right?). I did like the sauce that it came with...a creamy aioli type sauce. Very nice.

My only gripe with the experience was the $12 per glass of wine that my date ordered. I know that wine can be very expensive, but at a place like this, I would expect the MOST expensive glass to be $8 or $9. Still, I'd recommend the place.

Ok, where did this place come from? Wow! Do yourself a favor, if you're near by, come and check it out. Recently visited this place with my love, we arrived at around 4pm on a Sunday and were promptly greeted and shown to a patio table.

The weather was perfect for sitting outside. The menu was a single sheet of double sided paper with a good wine list on the back along with bottled beers. The front featured food and specials. We noticed the menu had a date, so it changes daily.

We ordered a beer flight, fish and chips, sliders, and pork belly. OMG, we were well into our beers when the food arrived, and that first bite sealed the deal. The potatoes in the fish and chips were perfect, crispy on the outside, soft but not over done on the inside. They were square wedges cleverly arranged on the plate. The cod was just as good, flaky and moist, with a crispy batter shell. The Wurstershire came in a tiny spray bottle. 10 out of 10. The sliders? Forget about boring dry chunks of meat, these were braised short rib sliders, amazingly moist on a warm sweet bun that played well with the flavors of the braise.

Now my love would argue this point because shes from England and the fish and chips were so good she would "bring my mom here" but the absolute show stopper was the pork belly. No matter how descriptive I get here, I'm not going to do it justice, but these amazing perfectly rendered and seasoned cubes of mana from heaven were the best pieces of pork belly I ever greedily shoved in my mouth. Absolutely ****** amazing! Must come eat this now!!

3.5. Located in an unmarked building with a blacked out sign that has barely legible Mexican Food on it. Prohibition era themed with exposed pipes and ducting.

Bacon cheddar pretzel was damn good. The potato chips were OK. The breading on the fish and chips kept falling off and the fish was just OK. The grilled cheese was awesome as were the pancakes. The tomato bisque taste more like marinara. Mac and cheese was also very tasty.

The cocktails is where this place shines. Wide selection of beers and wines with very good mixed drink and a do it yourself bloody Mary bar. I can see how this place would be a great night out with live music and these drinks.

Salted cod fries. Who even knew that was a thing? Everything we ordered here was delicious. I especially liked the salmon entree I ordered. It was pretty windy the day we came so sitting on the patio meant that a lot of leaves was blowing into our food, but that didn't ruin the experience.

Ok

A loud bar with a great view on the street from the out door patio. We had a company event and all had a great time. They have a list of gluten free options, but I was getting different opinions from the servers about what was safe so I only had the devilled eggs with bacon. They were very good.

This is a great go-to for me, the food is great, the atmosphere is amazing and the selection and variation of drinks is why you go. They have an astounding number of local or smaller craft brews on tap; and the best part is they change them out weekly.

Friendly staff and great atmosphere. The food, though, is overpriced for what it is. I understand it's a nice spot on Ventura Bl. but it is a bit off putting to pay so much for a modestly sized hamburger with fries. Plus the parking costs $7(iirc) valet. Overall, I do recommend checking it out at least once though.

I came here for dinner a few weeks ago. The food and services were great. I had a couple cocktails and they were also on point. Overall I had a great time here and I highly recommend. I'll be back.

Came on a Wednesday night and it was busy. Valet is offered for $6 but you can park on the street if any is available. Service as good; we sat at the bar. Full menu can be served at the bar. They have a large selection of whiskeys; bartenders can offer a recommendation and they're pretty attentive. They had the NBA conference finals, then the end of the NHL conference finals on a projector near the back, which was great. They have a small room in the back that can be used for groups or a couple of smaller groups. Restrooms are clean and setup in an old fashioned way, which was cool. Not too cheap but worth it for the quality of food and service. Had the pretzel with cholocate peanut butter (must try!), wings, pork belly, and chips. Wings were good too; didn't try the pork belly but it looked good. Chips were also good; comes with a vinegar spray in a round tin. Chips were plain, unflavored.

1st the good. Bartenders were nice, took our food order quickly, had food suggestions and kept our water glasses full. The atmosphere was nice.

Now the bad. We waited 35 min for our to go order, paid over $40 for two sandwiches that were cold and disgusting. Less than 1/2 way through I stopped eating the sandwich and went to Wendy's. The $5 sandwich was better than the $20.

Wish I had taken a picture of this place. It was nice and low key. Just the vibe I like if I want to just chill and get some drinks and a bite with friends. Customer service was amazing. Everyone always checking up on you but not in the annoying kind of way haha Loved that, people can get pushy at times with that and it bugs me but not here

Pricey, to a point where it needs to be stated in reference to the entirety of the bar scene that surrounds it. For craft beer fans, the list on any given night runs from respectable to mind-blowing. Cocktails are good, food is quite good. Can't be overstated, there's a biergarten and that's amazing for this area. An essential stop on a Ventura Blvd bar crawl this far up the boulevard, and worth visiting if you are a local.

Perfect laid back place to watch a game. Beers are cheaper than in most bars and the crowd is pretty diverse. Lots of tourists but lots of locals too. The look of the place (particularly the entrance) is pretty outdated and odd but once you are upstairs the atmosphere is ok.

Loved the atmosphere and food at this place! I had the seafood linguine and it was perfect. The red sauce was slightly spicy which added a nice kick. The seafood was also pretty good, didnt smell weird like some places and the linguine was the perfect amount of chewy. Corkage fee was $15 per bottle which wasn't bad compared to other places in LA. Would definitely go again!

Wish I could give this place a 4.5 star. Good food, great beer selection, and a nice, open ambiance. The food is just a little bit pricey. Fantastic hole-in-the-wall gastro pub in an area with few options.
