PAX Naval Base (NAVAIR) Reviews

Been on this base since 1972 with my parents enjoying the beach areas. The adding miles of rip rap has reduced the areas that handicapped people can safely fish, walk along the shore. The River's Edge conference center / restaurant design is horrorable. Its should have been built on the site of the old officer's club. The dinning room doesn't have any windows to show the scenic view of the river. The food is nothing to write home about. Sad a waste of the tax payers money. The camp ground that was once there was a 10 for the view, and the sites. The beach area was known for finding shark's teeth and safe swimming.

Huge research base down here in the south. It is always amazing to see the wonders flying over head. The annual air show is always neat to attend.

Very cool base! The base was very base like and felt base. Also it made feel all about that base.

This not a military base. Its full of civilians. The civilians are treated better then active duty.

I have been there for 3 weeks ago and I really love this so much Watching the planes flying out the base and one of them is a US NAVY airplanes and they so beautiful and amazing .

My Son in Law works on base. Naval rescue training. I got the personal tour of base and beautiful beaches. Loved it and was so proud to meet all personal. All serviceman and women met most respectful. We as civilians owe more than we give back to them, we should praise their efforts. Love you son.

One of the worst base we've ever been to. It caters more for civilians/contractors. Military folks are the minority. Public schools are very far behind the curve. Crime in town is high. Live on base if you can!

Small base but nice. Great programs, great motorcycle safety courses. Go navy!
