They changed parts of the Eucharistic prayers to exclude the pronouns he/him in reference to God the Father at the Sunday vigil, among other slightly less severe liturgical abuses. Went here for a required marriage preparation retreat that lacked any clear catholic instruction or support of the church, save a pre-recorded NFP video from another diocese that was even then lack - luster at best. Left feeling very discouraged, isolated, and even mocked; the latter in part being because of the disgusted glares I received from kneeling at mass and veiling at mass - both of which I did very simply and quietly.

This community was my home parish in the 1970's. It was filled with joyous celebration and always a positive expression of Christian Life, embracing "All". Very fond memories.
I miss this time. After leaving the Catholic Church decades ago for what I thought were all the right reasons; at 69 have come full circle with a spiritual foundation established by numerous communities, too include St Gabriel's Monastery in Brighton, The Cenacle and others.

We miss our church. It's very inclusive and a loving and safe atmosphere. We I've had the best staff and the best priest in the city. Activities that include for families and children are amazing and the music is absolutely awesome.

We love the Paulist Center. We found it 7 years ago and have been active members for the past 6 years. The priests, staff and the rest of the community are extremely friendly and welcoming. Their motto is "All are Welcome," and they mean it and try to live out that mission. We have be able to find free on street parking on Saturday nights and will often treat ourselves to dinner in town after mass. If you are a Pope Francis Catholic looking to try something a little different from your local parish church or if you are new to the area, give the Paulist Center a try. We did and are very happy and actively involved in the community.

I attended the Paulist Center's Marriage prep retreat and it was the least welcoming, least helpful, and least Catholic program I have ever attended under the auspices of the Catholic Church. The speakers at the retreat gave generic, secular advice and avoided providing any kind of advice on Catholic living. The speakers were also dismissive of the teaching of the Church, preferring instead to tell people to do whatever made them feel good.

The Mass that we were required to attend was the worst I have ever seen, to the point where I had to consult another priest to ensure that the Priest's changes to the Mass had not rendered it invalid. Several prayers were changed to be gender-neutral, a practice condemned by the church and prohibited in the General Instruction for the Roman Missal. Many of the parishioners, including most of the Extraordinary Ministers of Holy Communion, spent much of the Mass glaring at my fiancee for veiling and at the two of us for kneeling during the Liturgy of the Eucharist, which is the reverential posture prescribed by the GIRM and the traditions of the church. During the Eucharist many of those same ministers held on to the Precious Body so they could consume it simultaneously, a practice which contradicts the requirement for immediate consumption.

I cannot in good conscience recommend the Paulist Center to anyone, Catholic or non-Catholic, and I fear for the souls of the priests permitting such laxity and for the congregation following them.
