We absolutely loved Diana s house on the beach so even during lockdown we had our piece of heaven only for ourselves! House is well equipped with everything that you need to enjoy! We ve been there during hurricane Isaias. House felt very safe and we had a huge help from Ken (housekeeper) who kept us posted and organized everything around the house. That generator in the house is priceless! We had power even when most of the island didn t. So if you want to check out and quarantine, this is the house where you want to be! You ll have beach for you only and someone can do grocery shopping for you. The country is on lockdown anyway so you can t go around visiting but you can definitely still enjoy!
Here is some advice!
The island is pretty wild so no tourists all over the place, no fancy restaurants or bars or shops. Great place to check out!
Bugs (sand fleas, no-see-ums, mosquitoes) are bad! We got there prepared but didn t work... Don t even try to have dinner outside of a screen porch because flys would be all over you and your food.
You can really enjoy eating fresh fish from the Tarpum Bay dock! Joy can help you get the best fish! That part was amazing! Every day grilling fresh caught fish!
