Nice selection but always a hit or miss. Call ahead to find out if what you need to borrow is available first before driving over.
Yes it is a very small library. However . For their size they have a great selection and soo many fantastic childrens programs!
Very small selection, unhelpful staff, and rediculous fined imposed for very slight delays in returning a book. Charging $150 because I forgot to return twl obscure books for a fee weeks is not acceptable.
I love ordering books on line. I have my husband pick up & return since mobility is a problem for me. Length of time waiting for them is problematic though. I would like to know approx wait time = weeks or months if possible.
Coming from a city that built and maintains a library the size of a shopping mall. Keep this library, go to town for the big ugly library. Those who complain, do not look, there is always available space, the resources are there and if they do not have a book they can get it for you quickly and quite painlessly. The building is great after the remodel, It would be a complete waste of money to just throw this gem away in favor of a huge, soulless, generic monstrosity for the sole reason of stoking a few residents egos. You will not know what you have until it is gone.
Nice people, you have on-line access to the catalog, so you know what is in stock, and you can loan e-books for the kindle too... not bad for a small space/
This library is very small and not accommodating. I had to test a student and they had little available space and would not allow me to utilize their community room even though no one was using it. I had to ask to use the community room because this library is the loudest library I have ever been in. The staff and patrons were socializing so loudly that the parent of my student even commented how loud it was. Please go to another library if you want a quiet place that will meet your needs.
My recent experience with the grand opening of the "new and improved" library has been less than satisfactory. In fact, I was shocked, to say the least, with the use of space, the user unfriendly arrangement of seating, the confusing placement of shelving, removal of seating by the natural light windows, crowded atmosphere. Input from regular patrons should have been considered. I would like accountability from whomever hired the so called library architect to plan and implement this fiasco. As a taxpayer for 35 years, I feel like this community was robbed. I am proposing to call for a redo, not at the expense of the taxpayer, but to be borne by those that approved this debacle. The Library staff is very helpful, although the selection is rather limited depending on what you are looking for. I noticed a million fiction books, but I was looking for books on the Chinese language. They only had one dictionary and one other book, which was out of stock. They didn't even have anything on chinese characters or writing, not even any travel books for China. They did have quite a few books on the French language though, which was useless to me. They also had a decent religion selection, however, nothing new or up to date, a lot of older works. I did have a good experience browsing, but I left empty handed. They seem to have a nice tech center, I didn't use it though.
