I bought a generator and Parker had an electrician install it for me and they did a great job, but what got me to write this review is about 3 months after it was installed Richard from Parker called me out of the blue and said we have an indication your generator is not working because of an alarm and it sounds like you have a natural gas problem. He said if you like I can walk you through this and see if we can correct it on the phone. He asked if I have had any gas work done lately and I told him we just had a pool heater put in. He said we better check and see if they turned the gas off at the generator they usually do this to perform a pressure test for the inspector. So while he stayed on the phone I walked out there and sure enough it was off. He said there will be air in the system but he told tell me how to bleed it out, I did it and the generator started right up. He said I got a green light on this end so you are good to go. He must of stayed on the phone with me for at least 30 minutes. What unexpected great customer service and it did not cost me a dime.

This place is highway robbery.

This place is highway robbery.
Not only did they say the warranty doesn t cover my issue. But when I came to get my machine they charged me 103$ for looking at it. At no point from the second I got to this place until a month later was never I told that.they are not professional and the old hag running that show there is rude as hell. ZERO respect for customers. I threatened with the police and also offered to pay half, still no cooperation. Now I am stuck here dealing with this , NOT GOOD
DONT GO THERE

I can't say enough about this company, they were able to get my RV generator running in less than an hour, Jeff is a great person, treated me like a human, not like a wallet. If I'm ever back in DFW, I'll come here for anything I meet done.

spent over 30k with this company on install and then they come out and stiff me on a service call. Find another company to deal with they are not concerned with the customer. I would give them 0 stars but it will not let me.

My experience was awful and the reason for the rev...

My experience was awful and the reason for the review is because other consumers need to be aware. I was referred to Parker power by another local company who spoke highly of them. I went to drop of my generator and they told me it would be 2 weeks before they got to it but once they got to it the process would go quick in most cases. I said ok and paid the 49.00 up front fee. (Understandable) 3 weeks go by I call and I got no where they couldn t tell me the eta on my generator. So I said well they are busy I ll jusy call in a few days surely they will call me now that they know I ve called. 2 days later I call on it s sitting on someone s desk it can be repaired but it may cost more than what you can get a new on for we are gonna give you two options once we find out the prices. Ok another 3 days go buy they called and said unfortunately you would be better off buying new I said what happen they said oh the inside is wore smooth out I said interesting it s less then 8 months old and has 100 hrs but I m understanding I ve seen new parts wear out it s uncontrollable. So another week goes by I call and said hey what s the eta on my new generator they said oh we don t know I said well can you find out? Um yea let me try to see if we can see when it was shipped I said ok. Guy comes back oh it will be here in 2 days if the tracking is right I said ok cool. 4 days go buy I call hey what s going on with my generator? Oh we have to make another pully work this one is different. (Me inside great) but I said ok when will it be ready? Well if everything goes good tomorrow. 2 days later I get a call oh man we ordered the wrong pully unfortunately it will be Monday I was like at this point f it it is what it is I said ok. Finally Tuesday I get a call (keep in mind 6 weeks to get a generator) and I told them I ll come in a day or two to get it so I got
Down there to pick it up (2 hr drive.) Get there and it s not even the same style generator I dropped off he said oh yours was discontinued I was like ok so I get back to my shop to put it on and it s not even remotely the same so I call them and tell them there reply was oh well sorry thats what the manufacturer Sent us I said I understand but it won t even fit they said well we don t know what to do. So I took it to a machine shop locally and had them make new brackets and they got it done next day so Friday comes I go Put it on the machine and the shank is to short so the pully and belt won t line up so I call Parker power and tell them again clueless on what to do so finally I start gettin a little ugly. The machine shop was on three way and the guy at Parker power said oh you can t rig it? The machine shop replied we can rig anything but it cost the customer money who has already been told by you 500 dollars later that this is the right generator the guy at Parker then replied how old is the generator I told him it s 8 months and 100 hours like I ve said befor his reply is oh well it s under warranty. At this point I m like are you Fing kidding me you mean to tell me now all the sudden it s under warranty after all I ve been thru? His reply uh yes it s under warranty... then why the f did you make be buy a new one or tell me the old one was wore out and couldn t be rebuilt. Well uh well uh... I didn t personally tell you. so I ended it there like any body else would at this point I was fed up to the top.. Needless to say i will never go back to Parker power. Horrible customer services, dishonest, and worst of all thief s! (They won t give me back my old generator) I will never go near them again please please proceed with caution I would hate for anyone to experience what I had to and the money this is still costing me because they are lazy and unknowledgeable to this situation.

I'd just be careful with this shop. Had management not intervened and were very cool, this would be a 1-star.... Wont mention the name, but the Engine Tech both my girlfriend and I met, on two separate occasions, was rude and condescending and terrible when customer-facing. He should not visit with new/existing customers

1) When I dropped the machine off, he was rude and hostile, acted like I was an imposition just being there.
2) I was reprimanded basically, for telling him 1000% honestly, what had occurred with the engine prior to my bringing it for repair.
3) He charged my card, apparently before and services were performed. We were told this was a no-no.
4) On the two occasions, Parker did not call back or initiate a call to me to tell me the status. I was told "5-10 business days". They never called. A relative nice lady on the phone said that would have it looked at, but there was never a phone call back. A return call never came. ( Frankly I was on vacation and didn't think about it much, but it was an additional 10 business days before I decided to call them) The machine was there close to a month before I had to call a third time for status.
5) When I called the third time, the man on the line chided me for saying it was "out of gas and worked just fine". Previously, I was told not to transport it with gas, and I knew leaving gasoline in a small engine for more then 3-4 weeks was not ideal, so I had drained it ( Old gas can break down and cause even worse problems.) The engines pull-rope was as taught as a noose when I brought it in for repair.
6) My girlfriend went to pick the running engine up. I personally decided to send her, as it needed to be able to be started by her ( a pull-start engine) The same, original technician, was rude and condescending to her as well, but even worse ( the ex-wife of a career mechanic who did know a think or two) Management thankfully intervened and resolved a tense interaction.

Bottom line. It have been a one-off set of interactions, but for sure, that technician should not be customer facing again. I'm just a home owner with simple engines ( lawnmowers, chain saw, vacuums and blowers etc), but if you are gonna work with Parker Power, be careful, ask for a manager, and take notes. We'll go to nearby Mower Medic for small engine repair going forward. Thanks/hat-tip to Management for intervening, otherwise this was not an easy business to work with.
++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++
Update: The president and owner of Parker, called me directly to help
resolve any issues and to prevent them going forward. Also, a manager involved, called as well for the same reason.
That was very impressive. Because of this, I will give Parker Power another chance next time I need small-engine repair. It was very much appreciated.

Called for a service, told them over the phone exactly what I needed done as it is something they have done before (not only for me but for multiple people in my industry). I scheduled it 2 weeks out so they'd have enough time to order parts and be ready for when I arrive. I live an hour away and I arrive only to be told they would have to order parts for the service I need and it would be 2 days before they would come in. Wasted my time. When you can actually get service it is good, but they dropped the ball big time on this one.

This is the worst place to get your things worked on. The owner Wanda is very money hungry and will lie to customers about what really needs fixed. She also will make her workers lie as well to get more money out of you. She fired an honest employee for that reason... Dont trust this place at all

We took our RV there for work on our generator that wasn't starting. Their mechanic, Jeff, had it figured out in no time! Great work! We had them do full service on it while we were there and they finished the job in time for us to get out well before rush hour traffic. Now we have a generator that we have confidence will work when we need it! We will use Parker Power Systems for all our generator needs. Thanks!

Our home is 20 miles from their shop, yet their new and inexperienced technician managed to turn the replacement of a $40 part into more than a $400 bill! When given a chance to address this, their response was that they actually spent 5 hours on this task but only charged us for 3. My recommendation is that you do your homework and DO NOT use this company. I found out subsequent to our service call that a neighbor uses ARI-Tex Electric for their generator service, more knowledgeable service technicians and more reasonable rates!
