The staff I've dealt with at Park Royal Outpatient Services have been excellent. Justine, Brie, Sam, Dottie and Lauren are professional, courteous and caring. If you are in need of Hope and some Mental Health support; commit to be engaged, listen and learn, they are are great team that can provide you with the tools you'll need for a better future.

I was there in 2019 the transport guy was touching himself on the way to park royal from Lehigh & put his body so close to my back I could feel his private touching me .. told multiple staff there no one did anything. They held me for 7 days .. away from my child I was unable to see him as well, this place doesn t care about anyone who comes in there. I was worse leaving there than I was before I came in

I was a patient there for alcohol detox referred by the VA. Had to do this prior to a treatment program. I was locked in a ward with psychiatric patients. I was the only one there for alcohol to my knowledge. Basically, I stayed in a terrible room, ate terrible food, and steered clear of some very sick people. I knew detox was a couple of days. Even though I had not drank in over two months, the staff there believed I should stay extensively. I had to request to leave as was my right. For three nights I was there, I was billed over $8,000. Believe me, the ONE thing they are good at is billing you. I've had to go to the VA to get them off my back. DO NOT GO HERE FOR ALCOHOL DETOX.

Even if you call and make an appointment and voluntarily bring yourself in there for an assessment they will try to keep you there. I was later told that after I consent to an assessment that it s no longer my choice in which program they place me . Which was not what was communicated over the phone. The nurses are lying and manipulative. Saying different things to me than to my mom. You re lucky if you get any phone service in the building. Its simply a money ploy. Staying as an inpatient for about 3 days would do nothing for the average person but make them more sad.

I brought my Mother to Park Royal yesterday morning. The caring intake Gentleman was very warm and compassionate. Sorry sure wish I remembered your name. You made me feel very comfortable to leave my sick Mom in their hands for care she needs. I spoke to my Mom later in the evening and she sounded very good even got a laugh out of her. Thank you Park Royal...... I truly have confidence my Mom will get the treatment and care she needs.

I stayed here recently for mental health and detox. I loved it! The staff were great and it was a bright, colorful, positive atmosphere. The foods not that great but I'm not picky..lol. They had groups, AA, and NA throughout the day. I highly recommend it.

I had a really bad experience here, but I ve also heard it s the best in the area which is even more scary to consider. The group therapists and rec therapist are amazing, a lot of the Techs are nice and down to earth too. But the Nutritional situation is a nightmare as is the Drs. The brush off all of your concerns with little empathy to your feelings. Leaving most patients just desperate to leave, and never really getting any help.

With that said
It is clean, and on my unit I did not witness any kind of abuse. Which is better than what I heard of other facilities in the area.

Know of several people who have been sent here against their own will. The experiences they bring home to tell are shocking. Patients are mistreated, ignored, and only there for the doctors paycheck. They dont provide any help after discharge, and this is how they get people to be forced to come back. They drain you of your insurance money and sanity and kick you to the ditch. This place should be sued and shut down for mistreatment of many young adults and teens in need of mental and physical health with no where else to turn.

The doctors are a joke. They see you for less than 15 minutes then ride out your insurance. The doctors did nothing to help me, but forced me to stay 6 days. I went there for help and got nothing. I wasn't diagnosed, wasn't given medication, and wasn't offered therapy. I had to seek out help on my own after leaving. I've since been diagnosed, which in itself was a relief after years of suffering. I've been given medication and my life is turning around, no thanks to Park Royal. They do have a wonderful staff who really care about doing a great job. They also have amazing women who run the activities groups. I give the staff and women five stars. Besides their incompetent psychiatrists they keep the building absolutely freezing. Everyone was cold and walked around with blankets. They need new doctors that include women.
