The National Park of the Pyrenees occupies the highest part of the French territory next to the Spanish border. Beautiful mountain itineraries, peaks over 3000 meters, some of the last Pyrenean glaciers, fauna, villages ...

The war of the Malvinas or conflict of the South Atlantic (in English, Falklands War) was a warlike confrontation between Argentina and the United Kingdom that happened in the Malvinas Islands, South Georgias and Sandwich of the South. The war took place between April 2, the day of the Argentine landing on the islands, and on June 14, 1982, the agreed date of the cessation of hostilities in the Malvinas, [16] although the British invaded the South Sandwich Islands and the On June 20, they evacuated the facilities of the Corvette Base Uruguay in Argentina, as part of Operation Keyhole.

Beautiful area of the Pyrenees, the steep drive up to the parking area itself is lovely. I've there you arrive on a huge parking place, where you can wander up to the tourist information. Here you can buy tickets to get onto a Tele cabin, and a chair lift all the way up to a lake situated higher in the mountains. You can also walk up if you prefer.
Dotted around are restaurants where you can buy sandwiches drinks etc.
The access is altogether easy, good for kids. The paths are well maintained, nothing to rugged. It looks like it can get busy, touristy, but on our visit it was quiet. Loads of small streams to cool your feet, or for kids to build dams.

Although I am more of a Switzerland man, the Pyrenees are definitely worth it and there are many beautiful locations and ample entertainment. Be aware that it can be very hot or cold and wet.

The Pyrennes National Park has clear and specially cut borders, something that looks like an electoral citation, English has a word for that "salamandering" ... Too bad that the burying does not respect them!

From the refuge de la glere, hiking trails around the magnificent lakes. Climbing up to the pack refuge will give you a breathtaking view of the peaks, in particular the Roland Breccia. It should be noted that there are a lot of stones, pay attention to the ankles

An ideal destination for wonderful walks along the many paths or for fishing in the fishing waters of the lakes and streams. At the Franco-Spanish border in particular are worth a visit: the Passo del Somport, with a view that embraces the peaks of the Pyrenees, and the Passo del Pourtalet, with a breathtaking view
