If you like the valleys that are still a bit spared, this is the place for you.
Contemplative or sporty, walker or lover of nature, you must go there and appreciate these places and these moments, the inhabitants too, and respect, yes especially respect you are here welcome, but on the condition of soaking up not to want to impose.
Be open and discreet at the same time and enjoy the moment.

Very pleasant place in summer, simple hike in a magnificent setting, accessible for families. Well maintained paths, strewn with colchicum and thistle, bordering a river with many rocks. Note that dogs are not allowed, and that picking is also prohibited.

Wonderful place ! Probably the best place to go when you love nature. It is so beautiful and wild, possibility of seeing a lot of animals and plants that we are not used to seeing. Not to mention the hikes and the breathtaking views

I took the little Artouste train for the first time in twenty-five years, the station has not changed an iota, it is still as modest, family-run and on a reasonable scale, we are very far from the ski factory where you ruin yourself to spend your time waiting in line.

I have been walking around this national park for over 40 years. I feel at home there. The landscapes are magnificent, animals and plants are protected. It is an environment to be absolutely preserved !! But there are a few places where the number of hikers, visitors, tourists, should be limited. Beware of overpopulation ... That said, the Pyrenees are sublime, and the national park is an exceptional showcase. For mountain lovers, a must-see!

A delight for the eyes, nature lovers can only be amazed by seeing these landscapes. The flora and fauna are very rich and relatively preserved. Multiple hikes are possible while respecting nature, using marked trails and who knows, a nice surprise at the turn of a bend.

Drove through here on the way from France to Spain, wow what a landscape!

The park is obviously immense in size, it has fantastic views throughout.

The weather climate went from pouring rain in France to fog, then freezing cold (8c) to misty, then when we entered Spain it became warm again and more desert like.

The highlight for me was seeing the dam, it was icy cold there and I am sure the water was single digits in terms of temperature.

The roads are quite narrow in places, but easily passable by 2 cars. Its a long and windy journey, once that would be such a shame to do in the night time due to all the sights you will miss. Some places may not be good for those that suffer from a fear of heights!
